This comfortable, quiet and welcoming hotel was an deal location for a Ziplining experience with the venue 300 yards away! Super quiet and comfrotable room with gorgeous mountain views. The staff were friendly and welcoming❤️ Enjoyed an evening meal in the relaxing dining area

We cannot fault the room we had. Modern, freshly decorated and with a very comfortable super king bed. Also our room had good views towards Blaneau Ffestiniog. However, the restaurant was very disappointing offering only a poor/limited range of processed food (pie and mash; fish and chips; burgers etc.). Also, the service at breakfast was very, very, slow/poor. Clearly most of the (minimal) staff had not received hospitality training (or they had forgotten about the importance of customer service). It is such a shame as this historic, lovely, hotel could be so much better if they employed chefs and offered, for example, traditional Welsh dishes. So, to summarise, a good place to stay but possibly look elsewhere to eat

Really lovely stay at the hotel. Made the feel incredibly welcome by lovely staff. Hotel was really comfortable, warm and spacious. Room was immaculate and the room facilities were of an excellent standard. We could walk to zipworld from there and the town centre was a 25 minute walk. Definitely going to be staying there again. Great value for money on the evening meals and very good quality food. I found the breakfasts a bit expensive for what they were and would definitely get a breakfast included price next time I go. Very central to snowdonia national park.

I am visiting North Wales as a disabled traveller. On arrival there is no disabled parking however there is a flat area at the top of the carpark where I could get out, then let my partner park the car. The staff were welcoming and our room was great with a fully accessible shower room. We ate in the bar where there was a small, limited menu but everything we ordered was fantastic and very reasonably priced considering the quality. Breakfast was good with the buffet style cooked breakfast, again all cooked to a high standard or a continental breakfast and fruit. On this occasion, I didn't need any help, but the staff were always offering assistance which is very reasuring. If I was visiting this part of Wales again I would certainly be back.

This is a lovely hotel that was very accommodating for us and our dog. When we arrived we had been given a room on the top floor which was nicely set out and had a gorgeous view. The only downside to our visit was the evening meal in the restaurant. It was very overpriced. We had the Antipasto Platter and it was shocking. It cost £9.50 for a bowl of rocket and tomatoes with three tiny chucks of bread and a few pieces of meat. We both had the Cheese burger, which was very nice but you don’t get any sides with it so was £9.95 for the burger alone. Apart from the food we had a lovely time.

Visited mid week and stayed at the Shepard's glamping pods. All staff members were so kind and attentive. The pods were in immaculate condition, very clean and cosy. The beds were very comfy and enough room for everyone! The view was amazing, everything you need for a stay was provided from utensils, blankets, hot water bottles and firewood for the colder evenings. Will definitely be back!
