If you hapoen to arrive to a remote island as Pico here is #1 essential for you: Ana, the actual manager of this property, a stranger-sister whom you did not know you have, who just gets you. Apart from a very nice high end property, Ana took care of me, and my expectations from this vacation. She know everything in the Island by heart. She is generous, kind and smiley! I stayed extra 6 nights because of her welcoming approach!

My husband and I spent two nights in one of the oceanfront rooms at this beautiful property and are already trying to figure out when we can travel back to Pico for a longer stay. The view was amazing - not only from the large balcony with very comfortable chaise lounge chairs but even when just sitting at the dining room table enjoying a meal and looking through the large glass doors. The minibar was well stocked and fairly priced - whole bottles of wine for 10-15 Euros were especially appreciated! Tons of space and very friendly helpful service. Claudia provided a map with handwritten notes on it to give us true insight to the best restaurants and places to visit. She also scored us a last minute fishing trip with a local company. If you want a clean, well-decorated, spacious room with a view, in a convenient location, along with personal service, this can’t be beat.

With a beautiful setting close to the ocean, we stayed in one of the new two-bedroom villas (not the hotel for which most of the reviews are for). There are some design issues including literally no where to put your luggage in the bedroom. Due to exceptionally poor planning on the designer's part, we "opted" for the floor in the main living area. The western facing decks are without any shade creating an overheated interior and a relentlessly hot and uninviting deck in the afternoon. Plantings or some sort of fabric for the shade structure will likely be added. However, the value of the existing villa is not worth the price given these issues. I offered management constructive criticism including the notion that a discount should be built into the price until these issues are resolved as I genuinely want the place to succeed. I encourage you to ask for a discount in advance if these matters remain unresolved. Twenty-four villas are in the works. Note: we were properly warned about construction noise before arriving, to be clear that was NOT an issue.

Excellent accommodation and location. We had a one bedroom duplex apartment with sea views and a terrace with loungers and table/chairs. The accommodation is above the old small port and offers great views across to Faial especially at sunset. The hosts were very accommodating as we had a delay in collecting car at airport so were later than planned in arriving. A standard tourist map of island had been annotated with places to eat which was very useful, also local information regarding use of the ferries was helpful. Each morning breakfast was provided in the large corridor so guests could help themselves then eat in their rooms. There is a mini bar within the kitchen fridge which was supplied with reasonable priced drinks as there are no shops nearby. The accommodation is located in the area with unique vineyards within volcanic stone walls and a few km from Madelena so a car is essential.

Our first time to Pico & we packed alot into two days. Ana Paula & Joana went the extra mile to help organize transportation, restaurants & sightseeing. Their small Boutique B&B is literally right in the UNESCO Vineyards. Clean, spacious, quiet...& a spectacular morning view of the Pico mountain from our patio! And very affordable. Looking forward to going back soon.

In june 2022, the hotel was as it is in the pics. It is confortable, beauty, with amazing views and Ana and Claudia are very good in their Job. The only bad thing (and the hotel cant do anything with that) is that kust in front and Behind of the hotel are works and the noise can disturb your relaxing time. The works are done even in saturdays. If you are picky with that, before book, call them and assure you wont have works in front of you during your holidays. This is the only bad thing, nothing to see with the hotel by itself but I think futuro guests will appreciate to know. Thanks.
