We can as a family and bearing in mind its one star it was very good. It was really hard to find a room for two adults and two children that had a double and two singles in a family room with en suite and WiFi, that was centrally located at a good price. This ticked all the boxes. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was small but well set out to make the most of the space and the hotel is located on a quiet pedestrian only street but close to Rue St Germain for restaurants, Notre Dame, Pantheon etc

We chose this hotel based on the location and trip advisor reviews. Everything was accurate but we suffered a major safety incident and hope to prevent this trauma for future guests. 2 adults, 2 kids checked in at 10pm, dropped luggage in room and quickly turned around to go get something to eat. We could only find one of the 2 keys we were given. We ask the front desk if we dropped it or if it was returned, they tell us we must have just misplaced in the room. Go out, come back, no key still but everything seems in order and we go to sleep. I wake up at 145am to someone in the room. I scream and chase him out the door. My husband runs out door after him and can hear him run down 2 flights but does not chase him further. No hotel reception from 1030pm to 730am. We try calling the numbers anyway and then send an email asking for urgent assistance. No response. We decide not to call the police as we are trying to minimize further trauma to the kids and save the trip. We move the kids far from door and barricade door with the other beds and ourselves. In the morning we tell the hotel what happened and ask for a new room, they apologize, change the lock and give us new keys. They do not file police report for incident on their property or look at video footage. Upon checkout I suggested the following immediate security improvements to better ensure guest safety: 1. Stop writing room numbers on keys, 2. ID guests checking in, 3. Post after hours / emergency line next to each phone, 4. Upgrade to deadbolt lock in each room.

Very well located and clean. available stuff. i will come back with all the family! i suggest this hotel for a nice escape in Paris. you can also have some attractions to a discounted price. highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Marignan. The location is superb, just a few minutes walk to Notre Dame with easy access to the metro, etc. We were also fortunate to get a family room that could accommodate five of us, which seems to be quite rare in Paris. The staff were exceptional and very friendly and helpful with the booking, arrangements for our late arrival, and everything else during our stay. We would not hesitate to book here again when we are back in Paris.

It's a family run hotel which provides great service. The small rooms and lack of a lift can be challenging. However the staff go out of their way to make the experience comfortable, be it sharing travel/dining tips or providing free laundry, wifi and breakfast. Cleanliness could be improved. It's centrally located and close to Notre Dame, Luxembourgh Gardens and the Metro/Buses. I would recommend it for solo travelers (young folks), backpackers and couples.

Had the most amazing time here at this hotel.Stayed for a weekend would love to have stayed longer.The suite we had was out of this world.The bed was huge and so comfy.The housekeeping were exceptionally nice couldn't do enough.Cldnt get the coffee machine to work and reception had someone up straightaway. There breakfast is superb especially there croissants. Wld like to say a big thank you to Ur amazing staff and especially to the door man who gave us such a warm welcome the day we arrived, every other time we saw him and for arranging our taxi back to the airport.Never got to say thank you to him as he was finished his shift when we were leaving. Don't hesitate to book it's an amazing hotel Will definitely be back Thank you for an amazing experience Donna

From the moment we arrived I knew we had chosen the perfect location for our stay. Elizabeth welcomed us warmly and was so kind and helpful. We appreciated the early check in and wonderful accommodations. We were not quite prepared for the narrow 6 story climb up to our room, especially with luggage. There is no elevator so be sure to ask for a room on a lower floor. Also heads up that It’s also hotter on the top floor as there is no AC. Luckily it was a cool day/night and the fan and open window did us just fine. The location is great and the hotel is clean. The free breakfast was a nice touch as well. Everyone is so friendly here and we highly recommend this lower budget hotel.

The Marignan is in a fantastic location in the Latin Quarter. It is on a quiet street that is only for foot traffic and deliveries. It is so close to everything. Less than a 10 minute walk to Notre Dame. There are so many hotels, cafes and shops nearby as well as a taxi stand and subway one street away! The breakfast has always been a croissant, baguette and juice with either coffee, tea or hot chocolate. It is a good start to the day in Paris. The staff is very friendly. Our room was on the top floor. There are MANY stairs and no elevator, but we had a small balcony and it was worth the climb. The beds are VERY comfortable. You can do laundry there and use the kitchen. Will always stay here when go to Paris!

Clean, modest accommodations; the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the location can't be beat. Wonderful, simple breakfast. If and when we return to Paris, we'll be sure to go back to the Marignan!
