I booked a room at Villino Eleonora after reading the excellent reviews that many other people had written. I arrived at the Villino the day before Italy went into a nationwide lockdown. Everything in the town and nearby area was closed, including the pizzeria that the owner Alessandro had recommended. I had no dinner that evening and was about to go to bed hungry when I heard the news that the a nationwide lockdown was about to go into effect at 5am the next morning. I decided to leave immediately so that I could return my region of Italy before the lockdown started. I was terrified and was just following the law because I was afraid that I would be unable to return home once the lockdown started. Since I had only spent about 2 hours at the hotel and did not sleep in the bed, Alessandro had agreed to give me a partial refund. However, he kept putting it off and making excuses. After I still hadn't received the money by May, I wrote him again and he stopped responding. When I threatened to write a negative review, he became hostile and still refused to give me a refund. I felt as though it was more than fair for me to agree to pay for the first night if he reimbursed me for the other 2 nights, since I hadn't even slept in the bed or eaten breakfast at his hotel. Alessandro never responded to any of my emails and has not reimbursed me as he said he would. Do not stay here - he is a dishonest man. Despite that problem, the garden is quite run down and the room was incredibly small. However, the room was clean and the location was fine (a short drive to the beach).

Villino Eleonora is a gem in Calabria, which offers the visitor a retreat from a busy world. The accommodation is set in tranquil gardens, and from the patio, one can see Strombolli, as it gives a gentle and occasional puff! Magical sunsets viewed from the patio are to be enjoyed every evening before departing for a wonderful dinner, and a glass or two of Calabrian wine. The breakfasts are a feast. Every day, a different home cooked treat! Alessandro and Cinzia are the husband and wife team who are there to welcome their guests and Alessandro, who speaks perfect English can answer all queries and make lots of suggestions about where to go and what to do. Thank you to both of them for a wonderful stay.

Stop searching. You’ve found THE most amazing place to stay near the gorgeous city of Tropea on the Calabrian coast. Villino Eleonora is a gorgeous stately home, at the edge of the town of Parghelia and perched just above (10 minutes walking) from two of the regions most beautiful beaches (La Grazia and Michelino). The property is run by the wonderful Allesandro and his charming wife, super welcoming and full of excellent local recommendations. The property itself is stunning: the guest rooms are situated at one end of the beautiful gardens, each with its own private patio where a gorgeous and delicious homemade breakfast is served every day. The rooms are perfectly equipped, and filled with all of the small thoughtful touches that distinguish this place from 99.9% of hotels. Their website slogan says “Come as guests, leave as friends” and we certainly feel that way. Thank you for an exceptional experience

Con l'esperienza di oggi è la terza volta che soggiorniamo in struttura con SPA. Sempre un piacevole soggiorno, confortevole, relax, ottima colazione e servizi al top. Il proprietario sempre gentile così come lo staff. Consigliatissimo. Torneremo.

Bellissimo posto molto suggestivo e rilassante nonostante non abbiamo scelto la stagione ideale. Molto curato sia esternamente che le camere, riscaldate e pulite. Proprietari gentilissimi che rendono il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. La spa piccolina molto intima , dopotutto è stata studiata per le coppie. Vasca idromassaggio, sauna, doccia emozionale, zona relax con tisana calda . Non mancava nulla, Tutto studiato perfettamente per coccolare il cliente. Dalla cuffietta per i capelli, al kit spazzolino e dentifricio.. incredibile..e poi la colazione buona e genuina preparata al momento. Facile da raggiungere.. non vediamo l'ora di tornarci!!! Provare per credere!!!
