Aqua land resort We were so sceptical about this holiday after the negative comments on Facebook and some Tripadvisor. The transfer is only 20 minutes and we were welcomed at reception, everything was explained to us and then we were given our keys, tourist tax for the room Was €10 per night. We had a family deluxe room which I was very surprised and pleased that it had an en-suite and for those light sleepers no windows in the upstairs bedroom makes for a very good nights sleep. The Appartment 2515 had recently been modernised, had a small balcony and the air con worked well, there was a safe which is free and a small fridge. It was close to both pools, the restaurant and the lobby bar. There were reports of a sewer smell but we did not smell this, the resort is clean and tidy, the holiday makers let it down by not tidying up after themselves and we witnessed cups around the pool, which in turn attracts ants, another issue people had reported. The food, yes it’s buffet style, but I can honestly say, as a family of five with three fussy eaters had absolutely no problem with the food. Fantastic salad bar, plenty of fresh choice, with none of us going hungry and the staff work hard clearing the tables. The staff are very friendly and polite, especially if you can learn to say thank you in Greek. The evening entertainment was not for us, a bit loud and not the best structured, but for young kids maybe. The water park is amazing well laid out plenty of ringos and again the staff are polite and respectful, we holidayed during the May half term and to be honest we did not queue for any of the rides, just be prepared for plenty of steps. The downsides The resort is in the middle of nowhere, no bars, restaurants, beech or harbour insight, plenty to do during the day, but we felt a little trapped at night. Overall I would recommend Aqualand resort.
