We had an adventurous drive to get to the Kijongo Bay Beach Resort. We had a Fantastic getaway. The whole team was friendly and helpful. Best part is the team catered all our dietary requirements and it is kids friendly area.

This is the second time we have stayed at Kijongo Bay Beach Resort and it did not disappoint! It is situated in the MOST amazing place, with miles of sandy beach and not a sole to be seen (apart from the occasional fisherman)! The managers (Karl and Sally) are the most hospitable people, who will go out of their way to help and make sure you have the most relaxing stay!

We have just returned from the most wonderful week at Kijongo Bay. Our 3 children (3, 7 and 10) had the best time. The beach was fantastic and very safe to swim in and then we had the added bonus of having a pool too! The food was great and if there were things the kids struggled with, we simply asked for a variation which was no problem. All the staff were so welcoming and we felt very taken care of. It really was a great week and we were sad to leave!

We spent a week with friends at Kijongo Bay Resort. It was such an amazing holiday. The kids tell it better than we could. “The staff were all super friendly and welcoming and I really got to know each of them. The beach was beautiful and so interesting. One of my favourite activities was the beach walk when Karl told us lots of information about the sea creatures that we found on our walk right next to the resort. I also loved kayaking, I had never done it before and really liked being in a double kayak with the waves splashing in my face. I’d really like to go back again some day…if my mum and dad let me.”  Abi aged 11 (and a half!) “Kijongo Bay Resort was really fun because there were lots of activities and fun things to do. I love swimming and knew they had a pool but I didn’t know there would be kayaks!! It was so much fun when you went out on the sea in the kayak, all the bumpy waves would hit you and I just kept laughing. The food was great! I tried new things like calamari, I didn’t think I would like it but all the other food had been amazing so I decided to try something new and unexpected. I actually really liked it. Thank you for such an amazing time.” Eli (aged 10). “The sea was really good for swimming and I loved all the food and I tried lots of new things. I saw lots of great orangey and yellow sunsets with the palms trees in front. The bonfire was really fun and they gave us marshmallows to roast and we were looking at the stars.” Nathan aged 5 (and a half) “I saw-ed crabs and did swimming and I like to eat the chapati and the sausages.” Josiah aged 2 (and a half) Thanks so much Karl and Sally for your kind hospitality, we hope to be back soon! Wir haben gleich zu Beginn unserer 6-wöchigen Tanzaniareise das KijongoBay ausgewählt, um anzukommen und den Alltags-Stress aus Europa hinter uns zu lassen. Und der Ort ist perfekt dafür; kilometerlanger Sandstrand ohne lästige Verkäufer oder Beachboys, die Dachterrasse mit Tagesbett, Aussicht aufs Meer und einer kühlen Meeresbrise, und nicht zuletzt das wundervolle Personal, dass sich ums Wohl der Gäste sorgt und die wunderschöne Gartenanlage pflegt. Täglich kommen Vögel, Affen und kleine Krebse zu Besuch. Mit dem Kajak kann man gratis durch die Mangroven paddeln. Sally und Carl helfen einem aber auch andere Ausflüge entlang der Küste zu organisieren. Wir durften auch einen 60.Geburtstag feiern und für die Jubilarin wurden keine Mühen gescheut; wunderbare Dekoration, Lagerfeuer und extra für unser mitgebrachtes Fondue hat das Personal eine tanzanische Variante gefunden, dass wir dies geniessen konnten. Alles perfekt! Ein super ruhiger Ort um zu relaxen und geniessen!
