우쿠메이시 호텔(Hukumeizi Hotel)

Some of the reviews on this hotel are incredibly harsh to the point I almost cancelled due to fear, maybe things were different before but I had a great experience here despite having high standards. The rooms were finished to high spec, the service was good and fast and the hotel offers a peaceful quiet a**osphere (something not so common in Palomino or in the Caribbean region in general). If you want to be close to Palomino town this isn't the best choice for you as it's a little further out but that's why it's peaceful! The restaurant is just okay I'd say, it's a little pricey and the food is good but not spectacular. The cocktails are very good though!

We only had a couple of nights here as part of a group trip. It was so relaxing here some of us decided to spend the day here rather than a day trip. So glad I did - sitting by the pool or beach listening to the waves was so relaxing. We had a lovely thatched hut as our room. It was huge (obviously meant for more than two as we had four double beds - the hut was split in two ( two double beds per room) with a large outside toilet , wash area and shower. There was a line to hang clothes outside. There is no hot water but it was tepid ( ok for shower). Plenty of towels for shower and beach use. There was a safe. The double beds were comfortable and had mosquito nets. We also had a hammock out front (great fun). We were on the beachfront so could hear the waves (relaxing). Good supply of electricity for charging iPhones etc. Good wifi. The rooms had large electric fans rather that air con. The staff were lovely and restaurant served good food. The breakfast was lovely plate of fruit and then choice of egg dish. The sea was not safe to go in due to heavy waves but large pool great.

This is a decent hotel, but no better than that. The food was ok in the restaurant, but it got boring quickly. Fortunately, I speak Spanish so I was able to communicate with the staff. The rooms were very clean and well air- conditioned.

El hotel es una belleza en Palomino, rodeado de naturaleza y ubicado en la primera línea de playa. La gastronomía es uno de los atributos más fuertes que encontré, así como la conexión con la naturaleza y su entorno. Reciente abrieron un bar frente a la playa muy nice

Muy buen hotel al frente del mar, la playa es casi privada por estar retirada de Palomino a 5 min en carro y 20 min a pie por la playa. El hotel es muy confortable, tiene amplias habitaciones y limpias. El servicio en general del hotel es bueno, prenden una fogata todas las noches cerca a la playa para integrar a los huéspedes.

Ich hatte ein offenbar neu gebautes Bungalow, welches sehr modern daher kam. Ich glaube jedoch, dass es noch nicht ganz fertig gestellt war. Es hatte keinerlei Dekoartikel, wie Bilder, Spiegel, Kleiderhacken oder einen Stuhl. Dafür hat es einige Geckos an den Decken, was nicht störend ist, die jedoch ungehindert ihr Geschäft teils auf das Bett oder sogar das Kissen verrichten. Mit einem Moskitonetz könnte dies problemlos (jedenfalls über dem Bett) abgefangen werden. Beim Eingang hat es eine Hängematte, was super chillig ist. Der Strand ist sehr harrsch, hohe Wellen und die Strömung machen das Baden eher unmöglich, was aber auch nicht weiter schlimm ist, da man auch einfach in der Hängematte oder im Liegestuhl raus aufs Meer schauen kann. Das Hotel ist ruhig gelegen, man hört eigentlich nur das Rauschen der Wellen. Ich hatte etwas Pech, da der Pool offenbar saniert wird, somit war die Idylle zeitweise durch das Kreissägegeräusch unterbrochen. Das WLAN funktionierte leider nicht im Zimmer, was schon etwas ärgerlich ist. Man musste dafür ins Restaurant gehen. Im Badezimmer hat es keine Steckdose, im Schlafzimmer schon, aber keinen Spiegel… Das Essen war gut und den Preis fand ich auch ok. Was ich sehr empfehlen kann ist die Massage direkt am Strand! Weltklasse. Ich denke, die Negativpunkte könnten bis in ein paar Wochen / Monaten behoben werden, weshalb ich das Hotel sehr empfehlen kann.

Acogedor el sitió muy tranquilo, me volvería a hospedar la comida supero mis expectativas, las habitaciones dependiendo lo que le gusta a cada quien si buscas el ruido del mar y toda la naturaleza es ideal alej**** del caos de las ciudades dormir en Paz

Nos gusto mucho, fuimos en familia, 11 personas, nos alojamos en cabañas con aire o con ventilador segun el gusto. Tiene la playa y el mar al fente de la piscina, la cual le encanto a los pequeños de nuestra familia. El desayuno muy rico y abundante, el servicio muy bueno, los empleados se esmeran por atenderte bien, hay agua de botellon disponible en la cafeteria para todos, cafe y te. los platos de la carta aunque son muchos son muy buenos. tiene espacios pa jugar futbol y voleibol. sillas y mesas a orilla de la piscina y playa. Se puede caminar por la playa y visitar otros bares y restaurantes en la orilla de la playa o ir hasta la calle 6 en el pueblo de Palomino, que es expectacular, con bares restaurantes, panaderias, tiendas de artesanias. etc. Se debe tener cuidado con el Mar, es picado se puede bañar pero solo en las zonas indicadas. Los empleados asesoran con Tour y sitios para visitar, hicimoes el paseo en neumatico por el rio Palomino, super recomendado y los jovenes de la familia hicieron tambien un recorrido en cuatrimoto.

El hotel es un lugar ideal para desconectar y disfrutar de la naturaleza que ofrece la costa caribe. El hotel esta diseñado en cabañas, algunas con aire acondicionado y otras con ventilador. El servicio fue espectacular, la gente extremadamente servicial y dispuesta a lo que uno necesite. Las playas virgenes son el lugar perfecto para hacer caminatas.
