非常滿意，北帕默斯頓是小鎮，酒店算是當地最好酒店了吧

The staff are wonderful; friendly, attentive, competent, the best! Yes, it is not a sparkling new building but the kai is delicious, the linen fresh, the pillows just right. We were here for 3 long hard days of work, but we have been treated with such care and attention. Definitely made the days easier.

I booked many months ( 10) earlier as we were coming for a wedding and had booked 3 rooms. By chance happened to be in Palmy the weekend before the wedding and thought I’ll just check on our booking as we needed to change the number of people coming. To my surprise our rooms were not booked even though I had a confirmation email to state that it was all confirmed for those rooms and dates (3 nights) To our rescue was a lovely lady Julie who was on reception that day. She managed to change and sort everything so we had the rooms we needed. Thank you Julie. Oh but after such hard work by one member to make our stay great it was let down by the rooms themselves. The bed had stained sheets, a very loud and noisy air conditioner, a coffee machine provided as we had a suite, but no coffee pods to use in it. The next day I noticed our bed wasn’t made just pulled up and areas of the room were dusty. It did improve for the other days. Not a 4 star hotel at all more like a 2 star. We felt it was over priced and so won’t be staying again .

Budget as! Clean enough. Ok to stay at if you want something cheap but still not cheap enough for what you get. Needs a good makeover, not like it was 5 years ago. Showers need a good scrub, no Skytv not even at bar to watch rugby. Used the pool, was clean but leaves everywhere grounds could do with a caretaker to tidy up leaves. Beds uncomfortable for me but was still clean enough. Looked in the gym, needs a clean and tidy, build up of dust and smells old and dusty really. Only stayed as was cheapest place left in Palmy. Rest were double the price

Ok but not the cleanest. Dated. Restaurant food below par. 3 meals were enough as they got worse each night. The limited menu was not posted in rooms and all information in room and lift pretty out of date. Room was not cleaned much each day and a general tardiness in presentation.

Visited one night stop over oct 2023 The rooms are dated, especially the bathroom with it's blown plastic metallic blue counter top. The beds were comfortable though and it served it's purpose. We ate in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Dinner was good, wine was very good and service was likewise. Breakfast was unfortunately mediocre to say the least. Food wasn't that hot and in the main was tasteless. The coffee was probably the worst coffee ever experienced. When asked for a proper filter coffee, the waitress reluctantly provided but with the comment "I'm not supposed to do this". One massive plus point was the free secure parking on site which allows to to wheel your bags in the dry straight to the car. Like I say, it provided a nights sleep on our way to Wellington but as a hotel, the rooms need some updating.

We know there’s no quality, 4star+ hotels in PLN. The Distinction brand offered hope- but its no where near other Distinction experiences-the Dunedin Distinction for example. Nod to the brand: the lady at reception, and all other staff, were friendly and helpful. The shell of a long time provincial hotel. The decor and furnishings are dated and time-warped; with no real need or sign of being jhuzzed to anything more contemporary (How small are the tvs!!). The room was clean and fit for purpose. The bed whilst comfy (and strangely low to the ground) has polyester duvets, covers and (either soft or rock hard) pillows. The bathroom was the most retro- midnight blue vanity, shower over bath and all single use, plastic wrapped products. Most disappointingly theres no in room or on site recycling offered. And the towels are changed daily (*face palm) Like multiple reviews reveal the heating/ cooling doesn’t work. Result either warm and sweaty or chilly cold- depending on the weather. The windows don’t open so the room constantly felt airless and stagnant. The breakfast buffet has plenty of choice but the quality (fresh fruit, coffee, sausages) is questionable. If you have to be in Palmy, and the modernised hotels are sold out, this is ok. Otherwise I wouldn’t recommend or return!

The room we booked for our seminar was large. I was told the room would be set up for our seminar but upon arriving found that not to be the case. Had to spend an hour setting it up myself. The seminar ran well the following day but the lunch I feel was below average. There didn’t seem to be enough food and we had expected a buffet style lunch but was more of a “finger food” style lunch. Happy with the friendly service but disappointed by the food and lack of organisation. The water in our room also ran brown for our stay which made the water unusable. I probably wouldn’t book my function there again.

Really impressed with the Distinction Palmerston North, Cuba Street. The room was very spacious, large king bed which was extremely comfortable and an amazing huge bathroom with super relaxing spa bath. I had to do some work so desk set up worked a treat and no problems with the internet access. My room was on second floor, super dark and quiet for sleeping. Breakfast buffet was as you would expect for offerings and tasty. Staff very welcoming, polite and friendly. Parking easy to access and very safe. Highly recommend.
