The Light House was most definitely one of my favourite hotel experiences ever. Everything was of 5* quality from the moment we arrived. The team that work here are so caring and professional, they thought about everything for us. The hotel room felt really luxurious down to all the small details, very well decorated. Two course breakfast on the terrace was exceptional for the two days we stayed there. Loved the free mini bar in the room. We were attending a wedding nearby so I only regretted really not having enough time to properly relax and enjoy more of this special place.

We stayed 2 nights at this lovely boutique property in December. Everything here was perfect and the attention to detail quite amazing. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed with everything we needed and more. Little welcome touches everywhere like deliciously scented room spray and shower gels, big fluffy towels, delicious complimentary goodies in the cupboard and of course my litmus test of a good hotel…..good quality coat hangers. The service was spectacular with cakes made by the hotel staff being offered with tea in the afternoon and sparkling wine handed round at all times of the day. Beautiful gardens surround the property which are lovingly tended and this is where you sit for breakfast. The management are just delightful and they personally make sure that everything is just perfect. I can’t recommend this hotel enough although. It is one of the most charming places I have ever stayed. .

Very rare level of hospitality. This gem in Paarl is perfectly designed and maintained and offers small scale luxury. The staff's attention to detail is phenomenal. They go all the way to make you feel pampered.

First time here, but for sure - NOT THE LAST TIME ! It's a place that you want to keep for yourself and do not want to tell anybody else about ! From the first entry where Petro met us and to the last minute when we left - it was just FANTASTIC! They only have 5 SUITES and their attention to details and service is remarkable ! For instance - after we had been out walking during a very varm day ( +35 ) we rang the bell at the gate. The gate opened and when we had walked 15 meters towards the door, Petro came out with a tray, with 2 bottles of ice cold water and 2 glasses. Well, it was like that the whole time. Fantastic breakfast with a plate of fresh fruit that looked like a painting, so well composed ! Mika was alo on place, serving us breakfast, parking the car and also one evening drove us the the restaurant - as there was no taxi in place. We just think that one should, from time to time, spoil yourself with a treat like this - meaning stay at a place like this. We just LOVED IT !!

This is one of the most delightful places we have stayed. Beautiful room, very welcoming and friendly hosts, wonderful staff and simply gorgeous breakfasts. I said that if we stay in Paarl again I wouldn't look anywhere else but on reflection we would like to visit Paarl again as soon as we can, just to stay at the Light House. I've nearly run out of superlatives, but our stay here was outstanding.

We felt like princesses. The service is second to none and was simply perfect. They took wonderful care of us and we were able to spend two wonderful days at the Lighthouse. I was a guest there 10 years ago and it has become even better. Thank you for the exceptional time.

Returned to this guesthouse that could very well be rated a 7* - our previous exposure was so profound that we instinctively considered this remarkable guesthouse as an only choice - the warm nature of the general manager: Darrol and his true professionalism remains an outstanding feature of the experience - staff at this guesthouse has been trained to the highest standards and exceed all other 5* properties - the attention to detail and in particular the presentation of meal items remains a highlight - the views are picturesque, no matter the choice of room allocation - you are deprived, if you have not yet experienced the Lighthouse Boutique Suites for at least 3 nights.

We had a fantastic stay at the Lighthouse! The most impressive thing was the very, very attentive service! Our room was large and always cleaned up. The breakfast delicious and if we had a wish, they made it happen. Fantastic!
