Absolutely Wonderful ❤️ A magical experience with down to earth hosts that understand the true nature of what hospitality means, and presents exceptional experiences for guests. We really needed the break from a long trip to a pure relaxed state within driving up the driveway surrounded by nature. We enjoyed every moment from the hot tub experience to a wonderful hist Marco who takes you not only on a culinary journey but also a personal journey of how he became the first boutique hotel in Norway. An experience to remember and take away knowing you have been well looked after. The food journey was incredible with a personal touch of pure passion for what he does, giving a true experience. Wow, wow, wow. What a fantastic boutique hotel. Every single detail is carefully planned and executed - nothing is left to coincidences. The room, the surroundings, the food (dinner as well as breakfast) is top quality.

This place was epic! The accommodation is extremely comfortable and cozy, the food is absolutely delicious (!!), the hosts super friendly and kind and the location ideal. We were looking for somewhere to relax, hike, eat well and unwind, and Herangtunet offered exactly that. Marco and his team are awesome. Oh and the sauna and hot tub were a total hit! Would go back, no, WILL go back for sure!

The level of service is extremely high, and every member of the staff offered their help and assistance all the time! We were staying in the Swedish room which was so fresh with beautiful details like the tiles on the floor in the bathroom in combination with the walls in the bathroom. We had booked dinner in advance, and the 3 course dinner with tenderloin pork as main dish really prepared perfectly, was delicious, and all the courses were really great both to look at and to taste! We were pleasantly surprised to find a TV in the room, and my husband was very impressed by all the channels -even BBC. The breakfast buffet had so many different choices so it was difficult to choose. The personal touch of service will be strongly remembered, - the staff was fantastic! I thought we were going to have a nice stay here, but I could not believe how much we fell in love with this place because the whole setting was so wonderful!

We stayed for 3 nights in the Rome suite where it was really nice to have the extra space as the weather was quite wet and it was nice to light the little fieplace. Marco and his team were all very welcoming and the food was delicious. We did some walks locally with our Jack Russell puppy and visited the Sputrefossen waterfall nearby which was really impressive after the recent rain.

Really nice! Spent the weekend there with my wife, just chilling at the small farm in the woods taking life very easy. Friendly service, exceptional food, cozy atmosphere. Fireplace in the suite too, nice touch!

We stayed at the hotel for 1 night on our way to the west of Norway. The place is very pretty and has ample walk and activities nearby. Dinner and breakfast were great too and the hosts very welcoming. We stayed in the Rome suite, which is on the ground floor of a wooden house containing 3 other rooms. This would have been a near flawless review had our sleep not been disrupted. Unfortunately a couple checked into the room above us late at night while we were in bed. They proceeded to stamp around on the wooden floorboards for some time. They then repeated exercise at 6am. When I mentioned this to the manager he said they were just passing through. I think it important for hotels to manage guest noise - particularly in wooden houses. A simple note reminding guests to be quieter in late or early hours would have avoided our visit being spoiled by inconsiderate people.

We were treated very well at this hotel and wanted to write a review because we were two women of color traveling throughout Scandinavia and hotel stays were hit or miss. However the team Herangtunet was very inclusive of all customers and we felt very comfortable here. Highly recommend for any BIPOC travelers!

Great place for a few days. Marco & his team has created a lovely place, with individually themed rooms. Had a sumptuous 3 course dinner, and abundant breakfast. We stayed in the Norwegian room, with bathroom across the corridor - just what we needed on our way to Western Norway
