For several years, Pellestova has been a favourite for hiking and nordic skiing. By 2024, the hotels has undergone a very successful refurbishment. All rooms are decorated in "mountain lodge style" (wood, slate etc.), the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms also new with floor heating and amenities from Rituals (soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner). There is a well equipped mini-bar and TV. Breakfast is plentyful; a cooked breakfast is being served upon request, and there is also a traditional nordic buffet with ham, salmon, cheese, croissants, fruit, etc. The hotel offers three restaurants covering all needs: A pizzeria serving lovely artisan pizza, a restaurant serving modern french-norwegian cuisine and the new "Slakteriet", an exclusive restaurant in the culinary landscape of new nordic cuisine. The latter is seating aprx 30 guests each night, serving ca. 12 dishes focusing on game and locally sourced produce. The hotel wine cellar is to die for, offering Échezeaux, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Gevrey-Chambertin, and also less expensive alternatives.

Stopped in for lunch while skiing from Nordseter. It's a very nice setting. There are 2 options for lunch, one a serve yourself from a very limited buffet style. The other a more loungy setting with 3 items on the menu. The food prices were very high, especially for the former option: open faced sandwiches were 219 kr, a piece of cake was 159 kr.

This is a very nice hotel! Our room and bathroom felt spacious and was very well appointed, with everything we needed. The food was very, very good. We didn't get to try the pizza restaurant, as we weren't there on a weekend. The only thing missing was a sauna, though we did make good use of the ski waxing room. The ski trails are wonderful.

Located close to a downhill ski area, but not ski-in/ski-out. The cross country ski tracks, however, are just outside the hotel. OK rooms, some with sauna, and a good bed. The hotel has conference facilities, a bar and a really good restaurant. The restaurant serves a breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner. The food is really good and the service OK. Lot of personnel, but still a little slow service. Fantastic view of the mountains.

Sehr schönes modernes Hotel. im Sommer perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen oder Velofahrten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer ist sauber und die Betten sind sehr bequem zum schlafen. Das Abendessen war köstlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ordentlich und von guter Qualität, auf Wunsch kann man sich noch Eier und Speck bestellen.

Contraste entre les chambres assez spartiates, certaines single très petites, d’autres à peine plus grandes (je devais sortir de ma chambre par une porte et rentrer par une autre pour aller ouvrir les tentures ou la fenêtre). Mobilier de chambre minimaliste. Pas de service de chambre au quotidien. Et d’un autre côté, restaurant excellent, avec une cave à vin certes chère mais exceptionnelle et un service à table souriant et très efficace, avec 2 serveuses parlant français, absolument parfaites. Bref, un hôtel contrasté, méritant un sans faute pour l’accueil et le restaurant, mais dont les chambres pourraient surprendre le voyageur étranger par leur exiguïté et le manque de service d’étage (lits non faits, pas de changement de serviettes, pas de nettoyage quotidien). Literie excellente néanmoins.
