Beautiful remote retreat We truly enjoyed our stay last week. Hosts were very responsive, home was clean and easy to find things, the property is beautiful and allowed us an opportunity to fully “unplug” for the week. Note for future renters, there is 5 miles of dirt road leading to the property, if you’re towing a trailer/boat expect everything to be sufficiently dusted! The only thing that didn’t exceed our expectations was there was no pond access from the property. Combination of low water level (August) and beaver activity prohibited us from being able to paddle out to the pond directly from the property which was a bummer. Otherwise we had a fantastic week and would recommend hands down if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle.

The lodge was beautiful! Such a peaceful, quiet getaway. We saw so much wildlife, and thoroughly enjoyed being disconnected for a few days. The lodge has everything you need.... just make sure to bring the food you'll need for your stay. There are a few country stores within 15-30 minutes, but no grocery stores. My kids loved kayaking, fishing, making smores, and laying in the hammock. We made several say trips to Acadia, and also found some hiking trails nearby. We hope to return soon!

Truly a dream! Stop looking! This is the place you want to be! The pictures are accurate and the reviews are true. This is a slice of heaven on earth. This location is the perfect balance of off grid and accessible. We arrived for our honeymoon and were mind blown at how accommodating and thoughtful the owners are. They have all the pots and pans, seasonings, and basic condiments you need. Bar harbor and Bangor were perfect day trips and didnt feel like a trek to get to. We took a drive one day and randomly hiked part of Acadia in our crocs simply because we could. They had the fire pit stocked and ready to go- we just had to light the kindle. They even had the s’mores sticks by the campfire ready to go. This isn’t just another vrbo- these people love their home, their community and love providing a positive experience for others. We loved it so much we’d love to find some property in the area in the future. Whatever it is you’re looking for I guarantee this is the place you want and need!

Perfect Little Maine Getaway! Perfect, secluded area with beautiful views! It has a lovely trail going down the beach/water area. Beds were very comfy and the place was very clean. Loved it!

Maine Experience Time to relax and enjoy nature and quiet. Every modern convenience you could want and the kitchen and really nice grill outside was great. So enjoyed our stay at Rivah Lodge.
