Receptionist needs training in how to speak to people found her rude ....lift not working ..radiator noisy work being done we was not informed about it. loud banging

Bad internet connection and the pictures looked different then the actual room.

Mixed experience at this hotel but I can’t bring myself to give more than two stars. Let’s start with the good stuff. The staff spoke excellent English and the breakfast menu was also available in English which was appreciated. The room was well appointed with nice details, a clean bathroom too. Centralish location Now the bad (and sorry about this but I pride myself on being honest!) The parking by is at that station which is free and central and also not too far away but it is definitely not as easy as the hotel make out. They do mention they could help with your bags but lord knows how when there’s one receptionist. They ask you to LEAVE YOUR ROOM KEY THERE DURING THE DAY. They do not give a reason but insist upon it. During the day my room was cleaned ‘tidied really’ not cleaned but they left it unlocked afterwards. When I pointed this out they said ‘oh ok’ but offered not apology or explanation They were concerned however when I pointed out the bag of rubbish that was dumped int he corridor over night by house keeping (8pm-8am at least) The beds are VERY hard. The pillows are very big and gave everyone neck ache. Some showers only have one glass panel- watch what you leave where, your items will get wet! Breakfast service is pleasant but really very slow (up to a 45 min wait even though we’d booked a time a lot for a very simple dish). Breakfast is also in my experience expensive at €15 each. It’s an old building, full of pretty features but you can hear the activity from the room next door and a decent amount of road noise plus a lot of air in the pipes. Unfortunately we won’t be back.

Needs to improve customer service, on checking in told we needed to pay for breakfast and tax at check in, never experienced paying before you have eaten! Room was not serviced as we came back at 1.30pm and we were going back out at 2.30pm but cleaner never came back so no milk and sugar for next morning etc, not what we expect from a 4 star hotel Staff are not that helpful , requested an early check in but that was not done and hotel was not busy as we only saw 6 other people there Breakfast was nice but says you are only allowed 3 dishes and 1 drink, we didn’t have 3 dishes but had extra tea and coffee but I feel that putting rules on a menu is not customer friendly and this seems to run throughout the hotel, shame as with better front of house and more customer focus this hotel could be so much more

Was in town for business and stayed overnight. Well located downtown Enkhuizen. Roons are nice , clean with a good bed and pillows. Also had a great meal at dinner in their restaurant and nice breakfast in the morning as well. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat

We stayed at the Hotel Snouck van Loosen for two nights. We were a party of three. We had a room with a double bed and a single bed (an actual bed not a rollout sofa bed). Room very clean and well appointed. The hotel has a small elevator so you can easily get your suitcase to your room. Very pleasant and helpful staff. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the train station, and is located in "downtown" Enkhuizen. Very pleasant area to walk and explore. Our room was on the top floor, but the only caveat is there is no AC in the room, so it could get very warm in the summer (but was not a problem during our visit. All in all a nice charming hotel.
