We stayed at this hotel on our camino to Santiago, and it was such a welcoming oasis after our walk in the rain. We were able to have coffee from the restaurant while we waited for our rooms to be ready. Even though the staff were clearly so busy serving Mother's Day lunch, they made space for us in the entryway at a table so we could be comfortable, dry, and fed. The inner courtyard is peaceful and lovely, and we had several sunny hours in the afternoon to enjoy it and the lovely fountain outside our room. The rooms were peacefully austere, extremely clean, and very quiet. There were so many nice touches, like the personalized towels, multiple pillows, and large, comfortable beds. We had nice hot showers, although we heard from others staying above the restaurant that they did not have any hot water (we hypothesize that this may have been because they shared a water heater with the restaurant below them and it was one of their busiest days of the year). The hotel also provided the transport services to bring us back to their location after we'd finished walking for the day. The transport was punctual, and our driver was lovely. She shared much about the area with us, and her conversation made us forget all about the aches and pains we'd incurred that day. Dinner at the restaurant was fun and fabulous--the wines made by the owners are not to be missed! Overall, one of the best experiences we had along the way!
