Worst hotel of our booking from wingbuddy We were told it is a 4 star. No bottles of water for guests in room. Had to have maintenance bring us the portable air-conditioner which was so loud couldn't sleep

I usually don’t like giving bad reviews unfortunately never have we experienced a hotel in such condition, we went self catering no kettle no toaster no ac no fans none of the charging sockets were working tv not working tried calling the reception phone was not working and finally to my disbelief the ventilator pipe fell off and a seagull flew out. Hotel staff was not helpful nor any apology given to us.

I’m not quite sure where to begin. I’ll start with some good points: - We were on a hen weekend so for what we needed it for it was great location wise, close to the beach, main *****, supermarket next door and had a pool area (although all loungers were filthy with cracks in them) - Wifi had good connection. Bad points - Majority of staff were rude and unhelpful, it was a struggle to get fresh towels and toilet roll which are necessities one would think. - No Air Conditioning which I found so shocking especially in the summer. Had no fan in our room originally, but was eventually given a working one. The condition of the broken one that was already in our room was disgusting. - Lamp didn’t work in the room - Plugs did not work- maybe had 1 or 2 working ones - No toiletries - Soap bars would fall down the sink as there was no plug - No washing up liquid or equipment to wash cups/plates - Did not feel particularly safe, as one of the nights there was very loud, scary banging from other residents. Overall, it did the job that we needed it for as we were barely there- could not stay any more than 2 nights here, will not be returning. I am baffled as to how this can be named as a “4 star” because this it is DEFINITELY NOT.

Just grim. Went on a hen party so had 4 apartments - spacious yes but every apartment had its own problems. No air conditioning. There were 1 or 2 fans in each room, luckily both ours worked but another of our groups rooms had only 1 fan which didn't work. The main bedroom beds were ok but sofa beds were awful. Another room had awful main beds but comfier sofa beds. Very inconsistent. We had no hairdryer. No toiletries other than small bar of soap in bathroom - which kept falling down the sink as there were no plugs. The kitchen was DISGUSTING. The fridge looked like it was covered in infection. - I would have taken a photo but I didn’t want to remember what it looked like but just picture off white with dots of mould and rust covering the entire door. Staff are rude and unhelpful. You'll always see a queue at reception of people waiting to complain. Housekeeping reluctant to give extra toilet rolls and towels. Glad we weren't staying any longer than 2 nights, did the job but wouldn't return or recommend. The whole place is just very dated - not where you want to be for a holiday.

If I could leave no stars I would. The worst experience ever. The rooms were like a sauna. Super-hot and not fit for purpose. We were lied that an engineer would sort out the AC but this hotel does not have AC in any of the rooms. The towels are stained and off colour. There were dead cockroaches in the rooms and balcony. The Wifi was useless. The TV never worked. The fans were broken. The reception staff are useless and very unhelpful. Hotel from hell. I would never recommend this dreadful apartment hotel to anyone. Dreadful horrendous hotel.

Not really sure where to start.. We normally stay at a hotel in Vilamoura but this time we left it a bit late to book and there was no rooms available so as we wanted a get away we thought this was better than nothing - we were wrong. Upon arrival there were three people in front of us so we had to queue to check in - even though there was some other girl wandering around pretending to be busy but really didn't seem to be. Just before our turn came, the receptioninst who was dealing with the guest in front suddenly got up and left (in the middle of dealing with them!) and this other girl eventually sat down to carry on checking them in. It took an hour before we got seen, no apologies for us having to queue for such a long time. A man behind us who was Portuguese kept going to the front and complaining about the amount of time it was taking but they just nodded and smiled at him. Eventually we were given our key card and sent to our room. On first inspection the apartment seemed ok, lovely and big and spacious with a nice sized balcony, but then we realised there was no aircon, and there probably hasn't been for quite some time! There was a rickety old fan in the bedroom, but as there was four of us we needed another as it was so hot (34C). We also noticed that the sliding windows, doors didn't lock so we didn't feel totally safe - my husband figured out a way of locking them which was to use a fork in one and a spoon in the other and this worked well. We went downstairs to ask for a fan and they said they had none available. They wrote down our details and said they would bring us one. The night was hot and sticky and at 4am we were awoken by screaming and very loud traffic noise - the place seems very alive at night, probably because it's very close to The *****, which we didn't realise or we would have stayed well clear of this hotel. Somehow we survived the hot night and trying to be cheerful (cheerfulway after all!) went down to breakfast. The hot breakfast was not hot at all, it was cold - we thought it was just a one off but it remained cold for the 7 days we stayed here. The plates are kept warmish but by the time you put the food on it it's all cold. You have 4 different types of cereals, cheese, ham, bread, croissants, cake and fruit. The only thing we really liked was the coffee, despite it coming out of a machine it was really nice. Oh - the fruit juices are very watered down, stay away from those!! After breakfast we again went to reception and asked about a fan, again they wrote down our details, nodded and said they would try to get one to us, we went out for the morning, came back and nothing. In the end we decided to buy our own fan as we were dreading another unbearable night. A couple of guests saw us and said: Oh that's a great idea, it's ridiculously hot and terrible they don't provide a fan! Luckily my husband always carries some sort of gadget and was able to put the fan together and so we could use it. I have forgotten to

A lot of the previous reviews on here left us feeling bemused. Excellent hotel, especially for the price. Seemed to be an emphasis on groups of friends being unwelcome in the hotel, which from our experience couldn’t be further from the truth. Vast majority seemed to be large(ish) groups of friends which created a really friendly atmosphere. Rooms were really clean, couldn’t ask for more. Pool side bar staff are next level. Couldn’t sing their praises enough. Only negative was the obnoxious receptionist, but for the amount of time having to engage with her, it wasn’t really an issue.
