We arrived to a warm welcome, despite arriving fairly late (after 10pm), having picked this for a one-night stay in northern Spain, near the French border, for our onward journey from Portugal to the UK. Room service rustled us up a very nice four-cheese pizza. The bed was comfy, and we had a bath and good shower (immediate hot water and great water pressure) in our junior suite. Very nice scenery, as it’s set in rolling parkland, and I enjoyed sipping my coffee in the morning, sat on the wide windowsill with the windows wide open, listening to the morning bird-song and looking at the misty mountains, through the trees. The breakfast was nice, but seemed a touch limited on choice to me for a place with an a la carte restaurant (but this is subjective, as the food was very good). And they do eggs cooked to order, and bacon (both superb). I thought the staff were superb, both the evening shift, and breakfast shift. Two things to say: Firstly, remember you are in mountain country, here, so need to be a little more cautious about the turning to get into this place; if you’re in a camper van / VW T3/ Caravelle, etc, as the access single-track lane that leads, after 1-2km, to the hotel, starts off with a very tight hair-pin bend on a 30-degree gradient, and the sign to the hotel which accompanies the turning can be easy to miss. Secondly, I would say this a perfectly viable stopover, if you’re looking for a place in the Spanish-French border area (this was our reason for picking it). However, on arrival, it was clear this is something of an events-led venue; evidenced by two large covered outdoor areas, one a bar (think festival bar), the other a dining/mezzanine area (think wedding marquee) both immediately next door to the hotel, in addition to a big ground-floor restaurant area. Although no events were ongoing when we got there, I think this may have been our blind luck, rather than judgement. And I note other reviews saying they were unaware they had booked an overnight stay while events were being laid on - and suffered a disturbed night because of it. So if you do book here, I would enquire with the venue first, whether there are any events being hosted, otherwise I would give it a miss.

Excelente la ubicación el atendimiento la amabilidad de carol y arancha todo amabilidad y atención, buena comida desayunos cenas. Habitaciones confortables, paisajes maravillosos. Naturaleza en puro estado. Lo recomiendo muy bueno.

Hotel situado en el campo, con mucha tranquilidad y unos alrededores plenos de naturaleza. El personal, simplemente, excepcional; nos trataron excelentemente; el último día debíamos salir antes de la hora del desayuno y nos abrieron la cafetería a las 7:15 para poder desayunar. No comimos en el restaurante, solo en la carpa con una carta de cosas para tapear, raciones y ensaladas; todo correcto. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y renovadas; los baños los hay con bañera y otros con ducha de hidromasaje, y todo muy limpio. Lugar para repetir

superbe endroit dans un très bel environnements un menu au déjeuner a 25 euros , belle salle service nappe blanche , serviette en tissus etc. superbe il faut un bon gps car pas évident à trouver la première fois , mais quelle récompense , c'est toujours très fréquentés

nos alojamos mi señora y yo solamente un dia,disfrutando de la boda de un familiar,lugar perfecto igual para disfrutar de un evento como para una estancia mas prolongada,la habitación muy completa y amplia, el personal atento y agradable en el trato,y la cocina excepcional. Solo hay un pequeño fallo (No achacable al hotel) y es : al salir de la carretera general para acceder al hotel el camino se convierte en una senda en la que en algunas momentos dos vehículos que se cruzan pueden tener problemas

Hôtel avec poutres apparentes , chambre très confortable , personnel très bien. Le restaurant le soir est très abordable 25 euros le menu avec le vin inclus et avec des spécialités. Petit déjeuner très bien . Deux routes pour arriver à cet hôtel la première au nord assez étroite , la seconde qui vient du sud (de Al campo Oiartzun) plus facile .Grand parking . Un 10 sur 10 pour tout , et nous avons prévu d'y revenir avrec des amis
