This is a beautiful resort nestled in the Swiss mountains. Stunning views, amazing dining and one of the best spa’s we have ever visited. Kandersteg is quiet but you dont need to leave the hotel. Every need was catered for and we left truly relaxed. Will definitely return in the future!

This hotel is stunning. The interior is beautiful and the outside surroundings are amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

Best property and have stayed at the best all over the world. They are over the top, personal attention to detail. All staff are on top of their game!!

My wife and I recently visited Kandersteg and stayed at this hotel. It is a relatively nice facility, with beautiful views of the mountains, but is relatively remote, being about 2km from the village of Kandersteg . I had booked the room online, but did not get a confirmation of the rate I would be charged at check in. Upon checking out, I was billed almost double the rate I had booked. I have made repeated attempts to get an explanation from the hotel for the higher rate, but have not received any response. I would definitely not trust this establishment to charge you the online booking rate, and recommend getting the rate they will charge you in writing before going to your room. This made an otherwise pleasant visit quite frustrating.

Restaurant and breakfast service not good at all, for the cost of the meals and the hotel. Items missing, had to ask for almost everything, missing meals on the aer service. Otherwise room good, Spa excellent and surroundings amazing.

I had never heard of Kandersteg before and nor had anyone else that I spoke to about Switzerland but when I found this hotel on the Inghams website I decided to take a chance. I’m so glad I did! It is surrounded by mountains and just outside the small town and is both lovely, inside and out. We had two rooms, one ambience room for the children and we were upgraded to a suite, both rooms were spacious and very clean and had stunning views of the mountains. The inside pool was a big hit as was the snooker room and back from days out for tea and cake at 4pm a really nice little extra. Food was always going to be tricky as I’m the first to admit that I’m a bit fussy but the waiters were professional and friendly and always helpful with menu choices and swapping things around for us! Reception staff were very pleasant and picked us up and dropped us back to the train station when we arrived and departed. The only thing if I was being super picky would be the daily news, all written in German about the weather, things going on and menus for the evening. English guests seem to be the minority in the hotel which I am more than happy with but for when English guests are staying there, a copy in English would be really nice as we missed some of the important news for one of the evenings about a music night and then the waiters were surprised when we knew nothing about it! All in all a stunning location and perfect for day trips using the local buses, trains and cable cars

The room was NOT as description in our emails "see the photos on webite". Instead it was in an outside building from 1980s and we had to walk in snow with our slippers to use the spa. The room was also on the parking so the snow plow comes by the windows at 6AM, not relaxing. The spa is noisy and uses a ridiculous red or green sign, so if red you can't go into a sauna even if one person inside? We definitely will NOT return.

We stayed here in June 2023. The spa, breakfast options, and general layout of the hotel are great. However, I strongly recommend against booking any "economy" option: the bathroom in the otherwise nice room was claustrophobic and would be bad in a two-star hotel. You also get assigned a breakfast "table of shame" that is less comfortable than the others and in the middle of the walkway. This being made to feel like a second-class citizen at 300 usd/chf (while expecting to just book a smaller room without a view, as is normal) really soured our romantic getaway weekend.

Best Breakfasts and wonderful help. I love this hotel and town.
