Stayed 3 nights. Had 2 separate rooms. Key cards to get into our room literally would only work 1-2 times. Visiting to see a 2 night concert in Detroit, so we would get back to the hotel late, around 1-2 am. First night, we had to go to the front desk 4 times to get new key cards because they would not unlock our door. And every time after that we had to get new cards. Very frustrating. Both of our rooms had this issue. The counter person advised us to not put the cards by phones or by other cards in a wallet. Still they did not work more than once.
Next, they checked us out of our rooms 2 days early and charged my card for both rooms. I did not want to use this particular card for payment, only to hold the rooms. Then charged the card I wanted to use twice for both rooms. Over $900 total. It took lots of back and forth (over 3 weeks) with multiple people to get refunded for this. Very disappointing. Poor communication. Nobody would call back when they said they would. No email when promised.
Lastly, the breakfast was disappointing as well. Containers left empty. The woman taking care of this was not friendly at all. Wearing earbuds so you could not ask for her to refill any of the food. Did not smile or greet. Overall seems pretty typical of Detroit area and I’m not surprised. We won’t be staying here again.
