Beautiful lodge with great service. We loved the kayaks you could take out whenever you wanted. The pool was well-maintained and clean with crystal clear water. We arranged a snorkeling tour with them and everything was coordinated beautifully. It's a 15-20 minute walk to Andilana beach - very safe, passing many other tourist hotels along the way - it was a better beach for hanging out and other food options. We stayed in a stand-alone hut, which was cute and had good mosquito netting, though next time, I'd opt for a room with air conditioning.

The staff were very friendly and professional, they went out of their way to help me and organise trips to other Islands. Room I have was very comfortable with a/c and a huge terrace with a sofa and 2 chairs overlookincmg the sea. Perfect positioned for spectacular sunsets! The food is good and they were able to provide me with alternatives as the veggie menu, like most in Madagascar, is somewhat limited! The cocktail were delicious. The pool is a good size with a nice sun bed area and overlooks the sea. After a days snorkeling I still went for a swim in the evening! I stayed here for 5 days and will do so again if I ever return to Nosy Be. Thank you so much to all the staff especially Alex who took the time to make sure my day trips were tailored to my mobility needs.

After a couple of weeks of adventures through Madagascar, the peace and beauty that the Emeraude Lodge has to offer was just what the doctor prescribed. The rooms are clean and have a very well functioning AC and WiFi. The balcony was very spacious and situated right by the water where I could enjoy spectacular sunsets each evening. Vincenzo is a very kind and gracious host and his staff take very well care of the guests. The breakfast is great, with everything that one could need: omelette, fresh juice, cereal, crèpes and fresh fruit. The lodge has a set dinner menu, and upon special request the chef prepared some wonderful lobster for me and my friends. All in all it was a great experience and I will be more than happy to return. A really lovely, clean and beautifully situated lodge, nr Andilana beach, that offered us stunning r&r (rest and relaxation) for a week. Photos online are accurate and so we weren't disappointed. Simple but clean and sufficient rooms with a useful bar fridge and very necessary aircon, each room with a beautiful balcony for sunset watching and useful mosquito nets inside. The outside dining and pool area were wonderful. Food was rather basic and the menu repetitive with occasional electricity outages not helping the kitchen's service on occasions, but on the whole we were happy. A real plus was having the owner Vincenzo assist very enthusiastically with the day excursions out to TOTALLY MAGNIFICENT Nosy Komba (with its lemurs!) & Nosy Iranja (with its paradise white sand and turquoise waters). Not cheap (at euro 90pp) but worth it for a bucket list experience. Vincenzo also offers an airport shuttle saving us hassles. Local currency (ariary) can be drawn at the airport ATM on arrival. Have cash on you for the (lovely) market at Nosy Komba. In all - a great week's holiday on a real (non commercialized) Indian Ocean island which we will remember for a long time to come. A gorgeous peaceful retreat. I stayed here solo before beginning my travel around Nosy Be and it was a calm away from the chaos! The bedroom was large, the bed ultra comfy and the view across the water simply stunning. The Wi-Fi and air con working well, the pool a lovely area and the restaurant served lovely home cooked meals. If I’d stayed longer I would like to have attended some of the day trips and excursions on offer. Thank you to Vincenzo and the team for making this feel like home .

Very well located and maintained. I also dived with the on site dive center, equipment was new and dive master very professional. What really makes the place stand out is the owner and host, the Wonderful Vincenzo. He has a great add t skill of understanding his guests needs and creating a tailored plan, from excursions to special dietary needs to arranging a visit to a local concert, you name it!
