Booked for one night to go to the football at Carrie road which is about 15min walk from hotel town centre is about 20min walk, it is easy to get to from the station just a short walk, arrived and some other guests let me in at first as the manager was not there, he arrived a few minutes later and quickly booked quests in, very easy process he showed me were I was staying as staying the other side of hotel, told me if I had any problems to ring the number on the paper stuck to the back of the door, and if I wanted to use the WiFi the code was also there. Room was small but had a shower toilet and sink as well as a hairdryer and clothes rack. There was also a kettle with tea and coffee facilities. Overall place was clean and tidy I stayed in the top part at the front it was a pleasant stay.

Despite the very nice photos of the rooms on the website, I was allocated one round the corner in another building that they own. Where do I start this review. I have never stayed in a worse place. I was given a cupboard……so small I had to squeeze in the door with my case, and only large enough to hold what they class as a bed. A park bench would have been more comfortable. The mattress was as hard as a rock, very old dirty pillows which smelt, and a duvet that had no life in it. The towels supplied were gross. The walls are paper thin and whoever had the room next door had their television turned up loud. There isn’t a reception so I wasn’t able to speak to anyone and request something better ( although I’m not sure that “ better” exists) you are simply text a code for the entrance and your room. I just wanted the night to end. It’s a truly horrible place. And they class this as a hotel? My only tip is don’t stay there.

This is a good small Hotel, with cosy rooms. No breakfast, but a kitchen available for all the guests with a patio to eat outside, if you wish. Well situated near the Railway Station. To walk into the town centre away from the traffic, cross the bridge near the Station, and walk (through the outside of a pub) on the opposite side of the river, then turn left, following a sign to the Cathedral. 4 minutes away going South on the same side of the river as the hotel there's the Queen of the Iceni Weatherspoons. V.good with an upstairs floor overlooking the river.

When entering the room it smelt damp/smoke and was overpowering made me feel sick especially when you went in the bathroom. Shower did not work properly it was either freezing cold or boiling hot, shower head needed descaling. Carpet was dirty and had not been hoovered. Furniture dated and kitchen/sink etc was dirty. Will not stay again.

Stayed for one night in January after being let down by closed down Central hotel next door. Amazingly they had a triple room available at very short notice. Checked into Riverside B&B although you are taken across the road to another building. Soon as you walk in very strong smell of damp despite recently painted. Room three single beds did the job for three lads. Wouldn’t take my misses here.

We tried to check in at 1pm. No one answered our 10 phone calls or answered the front door. We walked into town and received a phonecall at 5pm asking if we are going to arrive !! We arrived at 6.15pm and were told it was £5.00 to park which we refused as we had paid a car park from check in time. So was not charged parking. The room was really clean and bed comfy I have no complaints on that score. I am not sure if this place doubles up as a Hostel. A family were staying in the next room x 5 adults and children. They started cooking in a make shift kitchen at 9.30pm kids shouting from 9pm onwards. We called the reception guy who put a stop to it. The room faces the main road and you may as well be sleeping on the pavement as its so noisy . 😴 I can't fault the room but we won't be staying again !!!!
