라 부겐빌레아(La Bougainvillea Hotel and Villas)

Restaurant only review. Beautiful setting and very attentive staff. Food was excellent. We enjoyed several of their pasta dishes and we plan to return this trip. Nice wine and beer selection. We dined “inside” under cover with wonderful ocean views.

What an incredible place to enjoy a great dinner. We both had fresh fish and it was incredible. The view is unreal, overlooking the water. One of the best meals and service we had in Eleuthera. This place is a must. The staff was very attentive. The road in is a bit bumpy but quite an adventure. This is a must visit while on the island

This is an exceptional small hotel/resort for couples. The on site hotel-style rooms are spacious and clean, incredibly near to the beach, pool and restaurant/bar. There are so many wonderful things to do and see on Eleuthera, but one could definitely remain at La Bougainvillea the entire time. That said, this is a great location on the island. Special thanks to Martin at the bar for helping make the vacation especially fun.

Lovely boutique hotel with a great water view. Room was small, but well appointed (no phone!) Bed was comfy and shower great (obviously newly refurbished). Great infinity pool with nearby bar. Food was good -- the staff went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. Only prob was that it took over an hr. from the airport and an arranged shuttle would have been nice (as well as a car to go to the Caribbean-side beach).

Paradise Found! We had a 50th birthday celebration for two people in our group of 26. We spent months searching for a property that would not be over commercialized, nor overcrowded in the Caribbean, and by a stroke of luck, we happened upon la Bougainvillea. Go, go, go! From our first contact with rental agent (VRBO) Matthew to every interaction after- AMAZING service. What a hidden gem! The pictures online do not do this property justice. From the moment we arrived, we were awestruck by the beauty of the property itself, the amazing beach that we had to ourselves literally for the entire week. The entire staff from the restaurant to the hotel, to housekeeping, to Wilmide the massage therapist, were incredible. Tyler, who was our main contact at the hotel, was extremely patient, answered our daily questions, even made a point to call me to clarify information. He helped us to set up a surprise bonfire on the beach, even arranged for Maintenance to carry down a very heavy table so we could play flip cup on the beach as well! Housekeeping (Kenly) did a great job, very lovely service, even placing Prosecco and rose petals on the beds of the two bday boys’ rooms! Terez also provided very personalized service at the hotel for anything we needed in Tyler’s absence. Kia and Moe were incredible to help arrange bottles of rum we gifted our guests, and arranged for two huge dinner parties that were very organized for such a large amount of orders. The entire restaurant staff (Nae, Shanti, Justin) were extremely accommodating. Special shout out to Rosie, who had never waited on a group as large as ours, and did a phenomenal job! The food at the restaurant was delicious, I would only recommend ordering extra sauce because it was so good and sometimes there was a thin amount. Curry- delish! Make sure to double check the price of bottles of wine, because some we ordered at a lower price were not available, and we were not made aware of price diff until after the fact. Cocktails were delicious, we highly recommend the restaurant for any meal. And the view- perfect!!! Basically- what ever we requested, they made happen! We also secured the six bedroom house and three cottages through VRBO that are a part of the property as well. Amazing views from every accommodation- everything was so clean, well-managed and because of the incredible work the entire hotel staff provided, we had a literal flawless experience the entire week. Our guests said this was one of the prettiest places they had ever been, and they are very well traveled. Last- avoid flying American Airlines. Three couples out of the 13 on the trip ended up with very stressful experiences, with one couple being bumped from a flight that even had empty seats due to weight issues from cargo. Several had to fly on Delta and Delta was amazing and there were no issues with their flights. We asked all 13 couples if they would ever go back to this specific property, and to the island itself, and

This hotel is part of paradise. What a views on a pink beach, a pristine and very clean swimmingpool and, most important, a very friendly and dedicated staff. The rooms are big, clean and very luxurious. The bathroom is also spacious and modern equipped. We had a dreamlunch right on the beach. The perfect place to make instagrammmable pictures!

Pure Bliss!!! When asked how was my vacation and stay at La Bouganvilla. The property, the staff and service from checkin by Tyler first impression was calm and easy going...we felt right at home. A few staff members that deserve accolade indeed are Tyler, Justin , Eugene,Precious and Mo. Each of these staff members provided something unique ,and a personal touch of hospitality that made my birthday getaway wonderful. The food, the beach, the room...WELL DONE Bouganvilla!!!

This place was amazing. I question any negative reviews. This place is quaint, cute and has impeccable service. We stayed here for 3 nights and the beds and pillows are so comfy. They have a generator in case the electricity goes out which is convenient. The bar has amazing mojitos, the conch fritters were the best ever, and Justin made me a phenomenal dry cappuccino for breakfast. I also got a massage on the beach which was amazing. They have cute handmade bags in the main area as well. Seriously loved every moment here. The road is bumpy to get there but we rented a small SUV and it wasn’t a big deal. I love that the beach and hotel are so quiet. If you are looking for a party a**osphere, this isn't for you. Perfect couples trip! Tips: The sand flys are bad but this is everywhere. They are at their worst at dusk and dawn. No walks on the beach at nights and be careful about laying out on chairs in the evening. Wear bug spray all the time. The hotel shared what works best and I bought some at the local grocery store. It smells good as well. The location of this hotel is perfect, and the beach is phenomenal. I loved every moment of our stay.

Lovely stay at La Bougainvillea in the last week of November. Every member of staff was so friendly and happy and the service was excellent throughout. We were given a warm welcome tour and shown to our room. We were in room 10 which looks out onto the garden/pool area and you can see the sea as well. Would definitely recommend a room that looks out this way, waking up and seeing the ocean every morning was bliss. The hotel itself is small and charming but with everything you need, at times it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves as it wasn't that busy! We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and everything was excellent, it's homestyle cooking but done well and everything tasted delicious. I had one of the best steaks I've ever had, whatever seasoning they used was amazing. The beach is stunning, you can walk for miles and not see another person, just take your towel down, find a secluded spot and enjoy. We spent a lot of time in the ocean and enjoyed being in the clear blue waters! Yes there are bugs here in the evening, it's normal in places like this, just take strong repellant and you'll be fine, we got a few bites but it definitely didn't detract from our experience of what is a little slice of paradise in the Bahamas. Would definitely return, thank you for a wonderful stay!
