Fort Tiracol Goa

First time traveller to both India and Goa so wasn't really sure what to expect. The location itself is beatiful, a coverted fort overlooking the bay. We stayed in the 'Sunday' room which was one of two suites available. The sitting area is large with a comfortable couch and chairs. The bedroom contains a superking bed which was very comfortable ***** with a TV. The bathroom had a walkin shower with a decent pressure and was clean and tidy.The bedroom also has access to a completely private veranda with sufficient room for 2 loungers, table and chairs. The restaurant food was very good quality and if you don't like too much spice they can calm this down as long as you let them know. The staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you. The hotel also offers limited local excursions, these not only give good background on the local culture / history but are also hosted by local people and its always good to spend locally. The ferry terminal is approx 1 mile away, although this is a pleasant walk you need to avoid 11-3pm. The hotel can either offer a courtesy lift or arrange a local taxi. On that note the cafe at the ferry point served a great butter chicken ! Overall I really enjoyed my time here, its was quiet and peaceful which was the perfect was to start my India holiday Ps. If they still have cumin prawns on the menu they're a must eat !

It's the northern most point of Goa. The Fort is only accessible by using a ferry. Also it's a good option to go by scooty. It's got a beautiful view of the sea. Their restaurant Tavern is very nice. Their coffee is very tasty. Very picturesque place. A typical olden era fort. It has watch towers which give a beautiful view of the sea and Querim beach. They have lovely rooms.

Staying in 17th century Historical Fort is just priceless luxury experience We celebrated our Anniversary week at this Fort and we enjoyed every second and every minute of this place . What a stunning views of the Arabian Sea and local river mixing together is a must watch of the spectacular show by nature . Our Room “Wednesday “ is cute and unique with a beautiful balcony to just gaze at the ocean and spend countless hours . The Tavern restaurant chefs are 5 star professional chefs .I think Sravan cooked us some delicious food and we enjoyed every meal at this restaurant. Big shoutout to SAGAR who has been awesome host at the restaurant.His attention to detail is so loving and caring .He even arranged a candle light dinner for our celebration.Such a wonderful human being. Special shoutout to Philip,Caraciol , Sucorin who are awesome What a wonderful gesture by the manager with the cake for the anniversary. Don’t miss the heritage walk by Angelo he is a such a genuine sweet guy who tell all the stories of the place. From New Manohar Airport it’s quite a long way so better arrive early when there is some light in the sky otherwise I don’t recommend anyone to arrive in night time as you need a ferry to cross to go to this fort . Don’t miss this Fort if you are in goa it’s a masterpiece of history experience with spectacular ocean views and luxury stay

Friday is a great room to book at Fort Tiracol. With a attached balcony saw a beautiful sunset. The staff is extremely friendly and the service is excellent.

Its a heritage property and not comfortable. Hardly any open space except that the sea view was fantastic. No pool, no beach access, hardly a restaurant with limited fare. First and last visit

it was a magical stay . 400 years old fort with a rich heritage and right in front of sea . very awesome feeling . staff is very cordial and very helpful. right from welcome drink to personally coming for send off was excellent. food was very good too . there is also a church inside the complex . when you stay there , do go for ferry ride . you can take your car for ferry as well
