Visited for lunch today. Staff very pleasant and attentive. Very clean premises in a lovely surrounding. Menu is compact, but suitable for most and they list allergens. Food is very nice and well cooked and presented. But for us, very disappointed not to be able to pay the bill by cash, YET, tips are accepted by cash! As luck would have it I had a card to pay today but normally don’t. I wonder what would have happened if I hadn’t got my card? CASH IS LEGAL TENDER. We probably won’t return for this reason as we prefer to pay for things with cash. So may I apologise to the lovely waiting staff who served us today that as a principal, if you won’t take my cash for the bill, I found it untenable to tip by cash.

Fantastic all round pub Great staff with Brodie being very attentive and friendly Rooms are pleasant and very clean. Food was excellent especially sea bass meal and eggs Benedict for breakfast! Only one gripe - the slight buzz from the external boiler was a little annoying in the first rooms

booked 3 rooms and all of them nicely decorated ,pleasant stay and nice evening meals but disappointed on the fish course. Good earthy breakfast in the morning with lovely coffe .lovely walk and a nice nature reserve to visit added a plus to my stay .

beautiful setting , very comfortable bed, friendly staff. we were slightly disappointed by the lack of local produce on the menu , it would have been lovely to have some of the local wines , and lack of choice at breakfast , some fruit/ yogurt would have been nice, but otherwise a lovely stay

Went for a family meal, two starters were cold and dry. One main missed.. Mains rolls stale, fishfinger sandwich was cold.. Not much choice on menu and expensive for what it is.. Service and staff were fantastic and could not do any more.. Kitchen needs to up it's game in this day and age.. would not return..Which is a shame as lovely pub and in the summer could do a lot of business..

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at The Ferry Boat Inn. The accommodation was immaculate, clean, and had lovely décor and furnishings. It was warm, had everything we needed and was truly amazing. The three course evening meal and the breakfast were both beautifully cooked and piping hot. Without exception, every single member of staff was polite, friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend The Ferry Boat Inn and we will definitely aim to stay there again in the near future.
