The room was large enough, but the time of the year you visit will govern how much you enjoy being there. For warm months, you have your own air conditioner, but when it turns cool be aware that there is a Medeival central steam system that you can’t control. While we were there, the weather turned cool, and I asked that the heat be turned on. When we came back, the room was at least 100°. I tried turning the valve off, which was completely frozen, no surprise, so you’re at the mercy of whenever they turn the master unit on and off. On the second day we were there the building we were in had low occupancy, so they consolidated us with breakfast next-door. OK fine. However, when we sat down at the main table with other guests, we were unceremoniously told sorry you’re from next-door you can’t sit at this table — you go sit in the kitchen! So then we were crowded into a little corner while guests who fortunately stayed in that building had a much better experience. And let’s just say the breakfast was not exactly sumptuous. One piece of French toast, small chunk of industrial quiche, and three little strips of bacon. The vegetarian option for my wife was all the same minus the bacon. When I called the staff next day to complain about the dining arrangement his response was crickets, he could have cared less, so customer service is not their strong point.
