Mint House New Orleans - Riverside

I had high hopes for this hotel given the other reviews; however, I couldn't have been more disappointed. When I arrived on Sunday evening, the apartment was filthy. It clearly had not been cleaned since the previous tenant (who was a bit of a slob). When I contacted customer service, they were unable to switch me to a clean unit and unable to have a cleaning service come that evening. So I had to find another place to stay the night (yes, you read that correctly). The next morning, I tried to check-in and the unit still had not been cleaned. They didn't clean it until early afternoon. After chatting with some other people staying in the building (attending the same conference as I), I realized this was not an isolated problem. In addition to the poor cleaning and customer service, the insulation in the units is practically negligible. If you happen to have a quiet neighbor, I'm sure the unit would be great. However, I was kept up most of the night by neighbors having long telephone conversations where I could hear every word, even with ear plugs in. In summary, I would not stay here again. Despite its convenience to the convention center and relative affordability, it was just not worth the absolute hassle thath was staying here.

I am not able to give this stay a 4 star, even though the apartment was very nice and comfortable and the staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The good- comfortable apartment with large kitchen for cooking (though we didn't really do any) and appropriately stocked with dishes. Comfortable, large bed and bathroom Staff answered all our questions and able to supply items requested. Loved that we had requested groceries stocked for out arrival. Overall good location Did not like the road noise and ability to hear noise from other apartments, generally occuring late at night Unsecured internet. If the noise does not bother you and internet is not a problem, this is a very nice place to stay

The code provided to work the exterior door did not work. There was no hot water when trying to take a shower. National customer service number was completely unhelpful and there was clearly no one on site providing any service. I would absolutely not recommend staying here. There are multiple hotels and other loding in the area - choose one of those.

We enjoyed our stay with the Mint House. It offered so much more space than your traditional hotel room which is great when you are traveling with college kids. Since we were not cramped we were able to spread out in different areas and still join together for games, movies and eating. The location was awesome for us to walk to all of our events. Some events were close to a mile away however for us we enjoyed the walk. Because we walked everywhere it provided an excuse to eat more! We have college kids so the washer/dryer was an added plus. The decor was modern and inviting.

I was so impressed with the mint house and value for the price. Definitely an amazing experience and would come again. The rooms were spacious, all the amenities one would need including laundry and a kitchen. Loved the decor and industrial vibe. Great location that is in walking distance to everything.

The homes have all the amenities you could want in a vacation. The units are central to the trolleys and the Quarter. The stock the kitchen shopping before arrival was great too - didn't have to go to the store for mundane items. Also had a Nespresso with great coffee. The washer and dryer were great when we got our clothes dirty and the bed was super comfortable. Love this concept!
