What a sad sad state of affairs this property - with so much potential. Stayed there for 2 weeks.. on the first night, had dinner at the rooftop restaurant and asked to charge to the room. it was late and i was tired. At around 11PM, drifting off to sleep - i received a call in the room and was absolutely harassed by a very rude the front desk staff saying that i needed to settle the bill immediately and to come down to the reception! It was ABSURD! week 2 - the AC in the room was not working, the room was hot and everyday before leaving i had informed housekeeping to check, yet absolutely nothing was done. complained to the front desk multiple times on the issues - yet nothing was done of course! breakfast buffet is fine if you're doing it for 1 morning. there was absolutely no variation in the menu for the entirety of 2 weeks!! furthermore, front desk 'manager' lady really needs to learn how to talk to guests - the response of 'im the manager here' doesn't resolve any neither does it intimidate anyone - especially when a guest is letting you know of issues faced during their stay. If it was not for the proximity of the hotel to the office, would certainly not return by choice! Not recommended at all!

We missed our flight and decided to stay at Emara as recommended by a colleague. We had a very warm welcome right from the security staff at the gate to the attentive receptionist Hollidar, she explained the room categories and we chose a park view, it was amazing to see giraffes right from our room. The rooms are clean with big beds, food is delicious and professionally served. They have a rooftop lounge and a Tennis Court.... we will be back with my family in December.

Great place to rest before a full day of travel. Delicious food and stunning views. We were very impressed by all amenities and the kindness of the staff. We appreciated the English speaking channels on the television as well. Great sleep and shower.

I had a great chilled time here…shout out to Zack Bounquet Manager,Tume Guest Relations and Jamal Security at the Sky Lounge.It was an amaizing time and i would perrsonally recommend these guys. This place is amaizing the rooms and service perfect.

We stayed before an early international flight. Unfortunately its obviously a key party spot and music on the open air bar on 10th floor went on extremely loudly all night which we could hear on the 9th floor below, which was meant to be an upgrade. Not good when you want to get an early night ready to wake up at 4am. Dinner buffet was strange and expensive. For a nice hotel you'd expect a better restaurant but we left after 2 beers, 2 bottled waters and a plate of curry for 10,000ksh lighter. Service was pleasant but slow in a very large and loud room. We had no idea of the price or how to pay etc so kept having to ask how it all was supposed to work. Its a high standard of hotel, comfy rooms though bathroom a bit small. Staff generally pleasant. I suppose its the best in the area.

You might also be surprised when you stay at this hotel. From a distance it looks like many other modern city high-rise hotels, but it's different. It has all of the amenities and features of a modern hotel and conference center, BUT, on the "best" side of the building, your room looks out over Nairobi National Park. We did not believe it until we experienced it. On our first morning, we looked out over the plain and right in front of our window view was a mother rhino and calf. On another morning, we watched a huge herd of buffalo moving across the plain. There was a small waterhole in view, with sacred ibis and other birds and antelope drinking. Enjoy the rooftop bar, restaurant and pool; also the indoor dining areas, and in the adjacent building a fabulous gift shop with other restaurants. The staff are really friendly and helpful. There is an ATM machine that gives you US Dollars or Kenyan Shillings. Across the road is a mall with supermarket and bank: very convenient. The hotel is on the city outskirts, convenient to the airport and to the Mombasa Highway (for those heading off to the parks), and also to attractions in Karen such as the Giraffe Center and the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Nursery. Fewer traffic hassles, staying here. You can't beat it.

The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms are well maintained, the property is stunning, and the staff are friendly. My only complaint would be that dinner service was extremely slow, but the food itself was great.

Very poor. 2 weeks prior booking over 5 separate emails confirming pick up from airport and request for larger car to accommodate luggage. They send a tiny saloon car, have the name sign wrong, so we don't even know if vehicle is ours. Find out after calling hotel its ours. Baggage can't fit, hotel clueless inspite of several earlier emails, promise to send another bigger car. So we wait outside the airport for close to 1 hour its now approaching midnight. Second car comes, beaten up tired station wagon, half the luggage now goes in there the other half goes in the other car. My wife and I now have to travel separately. What a joke. Arrive at the hotel few minutes to midnight. Get to the room. Bed side tables are stained. Previous guests drink marks all over. Order room service (very limited menu) of 1 plate of samosa & a pasta. We are told maximum 30 min will be delivered.. Two calls later its now 1 hour and nothing has been delivered. Its now past 1am. Snacks come. Around 5 room orders on one trolley. Covid seems to have escaped this hotel. Anyways pastry soaked in oil/cooking fat, dripping everywhere. No seasoning whatsoever in the pasta. Tasteless disappointing. Seems the hotel caters to airline staff only. Dirty, damp rooms, with the weirdest bathroom design ever. Would suggest you go to much better hotels around the airport.

The hotel is very nice and clean.A massive thank you to Edwin at the rooftop bar who was extremely welcoming and friendly.Keep up the good work! The reception staff are also helpful.Spent 5 nights at this hotel and it was pleasant however the transfer taxi was not available to pick me up at 2am.
