JAL Mahal Resort and Spa

The stay at Jal Mahal Resort and Spa was Extremely disappointing due to several serious issues. The room was infested with bed bugs, making it impossible to rest comfortably. The bathroom had a strong, unpleasant stench that was never properly addressed. Despite repeated requests, the front desk staff were unprofessional and unresponsive, refusing to clean the room or change the dirty towels. This lack of basic hygiene and poor customer service made the entire experience highly unpleasant and frustrating.

We had a very disappointing and unpleasant experience at this hotel. At around midnight, we were woken up by severe itching and discovered dozens of bedbugs on the bed and pillows. When we called the reception for help, instead of showing concern, the staff were rude and dismissive. We had to shift rooms at 1 a.m. with our sleeping 4-year-old child, which was extremely stressful. While checking the new room to ensure it was safe, the staff were impatient and unprofessional. Shockingly, the receptionist even mocked my husband when he expressed frustration about the situation. No compensation, apology, or proper action was offered – neither that night nor during checkout in the morning. All they asked was for us to send the photos we had taken. On top of this, they charged the full amount at check-in, which makes me feel these issues might not be new to them. This was the worst hotel experience we’ve had, and I would strongly advise others to avoid staying here.

The property needs maintenance & the upkeep is not upto the mark. Complimentary breakfast is an eyewash as they are not equipped to cater to a full house timely. Will definitely not recommend this place

I had the most harrowing experience with Goibibo that has left me and my family mentally exhausted and extremely disappointed. We had booked Jal Mahal Resort in Mysore through Goibibo for 12th July, and were travelling with our two young children (aged 4 and 10). What was meant to be a relaxing weekend turned into a complete disaster due to Goibibo’s incompetence and shocking customer service. We reached the resort at around 3:30 PM, only to be told by the staff that there was an overbooking issue, and no rooms were available for us. The resort and goibibo was clearly at fault .This left us completely stranded in a city we didn’t know, with two tired and hungry children. I immediately contacted Goibibo’s customer service. The first executive kept me on call for over 20 minutes and then abruptly disconnected the call, claiming his system had hung — a blatant lie, clearly an excuse to drop a difficult situation. I then called again and had to start the entire process from scratch — shockingly, there was no record of my previous conversation. The second executive was incredibly rude, showed zero empathy, and said I should book my own stay, and they would just refund the amount later if I sent an invoice. This was around 6 PM by now, and we were still stuck without a place to go. No one from Goibibo took ownership, offered assistance in finding an alternative stay, or even showed basic courtesy or urgency. Finally, after hours of stress, the third executive agreed to a refund — but by then, the damage was done. Our entire day was wasted, our weekend was ruined, and we went through unnecessary mental harassment, especially in front of our children. This is not just a failed booking — this was a complete breakdown of customer care, accountability, and human decency. Goibibo cannot be trusted when things go wrong. Their customer service is not just ineffective, but irresponsible and insensitive, and I would never recommend them to anyone, especially families. This is the last time I will ever use Goibibo. The emotional distress and chaos they put us through is unforgivable.

We went to this resort for two days, just as a vacation. Stay was beautiful. My parents liked it. Very pleasant. Staff are very friendly. Special mention to Chef vinod, divya at reception, manjula and the manager were all supportive. Thanks guys.

Food is very normal where we don’t have more options and the quality is not great as well. Location is lil far from the central city. Facilities again is normalcy
