This hotel is a ROACH MOTEL!!! I have seen cleaner and safer hotels in HORROR movies!! They say that it is SMOKE-FREE but once you enter the rooms, it smells like cigarette smokers LIVE there!! The furniture is outdated & LOUSY. The bedsheets are ATROCIOUS!! Ants and other insects are crawling all over the place!! This place is SCARY as HELL. It reminds me of the episode in MARRIED WITH CHILDREN when the family went to a hillbilly/hick motel. SAVE YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY - GO ELSEWHERE!!!

hit by musty smell in the lobby and hallways. rooms are NOT soundproof - no one at desk to complain to when trucks go by and u learn rooms are not sound proof at 2:30 am - woman spoke to via phone in lobby said she heard nothing and would keep an ear out. No blackout drapes. Pool is out of service. Not near casinos unless you consider miles away near. All public areas are needing repairs. they do not answer messages via *******. Disgusting lack of care for property and guests.

I was looking for an inexpensive hotel for a night. Not realizing even after reading the reviews how bad this place actually is. It should be condemned. Holes in walls, bugs in my bed. And when I confronted the manager she flat said ‘what do you expect?’. She needs hospitality training. She needs a new job. Do yourself a favor and stay away. The town of Mystic needs to rethink this place as a hotel for visitors. Not an image they truly want.

This hotel is awful. The pictures on the website are old and definitely NOT what the inn looks like. It is a very old and outdated building. There are holes in the ceilings and water leaks in multiple places. There as a split in the pool ceiling with dirty water leaking into the open pool. In the lobby, there was water leaking from the ceiling being collected in fake planters to try and hide. This hotel is also dishonest, we booked through ********** and both are giving a run around for a refund. It is a scam and fraud.

The hotel was horrific! The picture of the pool that are posted on the internet must have been taken when the hotel first opened. The paint on the bottom of the pool is peeling. The smell of mold and mildew hit you like a brick wall when you open the door to the pool. There were pots in the lobby of the hotel to catch the rainwater that was leaking from the roof. The ceiling tiles were falling down, cracked, pieces missing etc. We had a hole in our bathroom wall. The exterior lights in the courtyard did not work, we sat there in the dark. I spent $388.70 for 2 nights. I should have only paid $100 per nigh IF THAT!!!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! Not only is it dirty and looks abandoned, but I got sick from staying there! When I checked into my room, the receptionist told me a sick baby had stayed in my room the night before. This hotel has a 72 hour room vacancy policy in between stays!!!! I should have never been placed in this room. Two days after checking out, I started feeling so ill that I almost went to the ER. I had the chills, a terrible headache, a sore throat, and my whole body was weak and tired. I was diagnosed with strep throat. Then the next day, I started developing painful, itchy, oozing sores all over my hands, feet, and mouth. So I went back to the doctor. On top of having strep throat, I have hand foot mouth disease. My friend who stayed with me is also sick! Sure, I could’ve gotten sick elsewhere, but how is this all just a coincidence? When I called to request a refund and explain the situation, they snubbed what I said and denied everything. They stated my room had been vacant for 72 hours prior to my stay. But upon my arrival, the receptionist told me a family with a sick baby had JUST checked out.

We stayed here Saturday & Sunday night of Memorial Day Weekend. We met family who had stayed there previously and said it was clean and ok. At check-in, when I asked for a second room key, I had to PROMISE to return it - I should have known then there could be issues. The ice bucket had hair in it so I went and got another one. The fan on the A/C was all the same for Low, High or Auto - it was extremely high and right near our bed, so we had to turn the air off each night! When we returned from our outing on Sunday, we found that they did not clean the room. I went down to get additional towels, soap & kleenex. I was told I could only get one more, as we already had 2 (small as they were) and that the maximum allowed was 3 in a room. She said I could have put the dirty ones out in the hall and they would have washed them - how was I to know that or that they didn't clean rooms. The side entrance was supposed to be locked at night but the Key slot by the door which you would activate to get in was missing - torn off the wall. Did not feel safe at night. Any respectable Insurance Company requires this in order to write the insurance.

I booked this place because it was in a convenient location, and prices within budget. However when I got to the hotel it looked like the business was closed. Not a single car in the parking lot. Walked in and no one was at the front desk. Had to dial a number to get someone to come and check us in. The hotel smelled a bit musty and it was worse in the room. Everything is old and outdated and did not match the photos I saw online. I think the photos must have been older or taken in a room that was a it more updated than what I was given. The tub, bathroom and towels left much to be desired. To be honest, we did not feel comfortable even bathing there.
