We stayed at Lalitha Mahal Palace hoping for a regal escape, but sadly, it felt more like walking through the faded pages of a once-grand story. The heritage charm is undeniable, but the place is in desperate need of revival. The food was underwhelming, amenities were bare minimum, and the overall experience just didn’t live up to the promise. Yes, you get to sleep in a piece of history — but the question is, at what cost? Wouldn’t go back.

Dinner at Lalitha mahal palace is pathetic. Food was cold. Just one starter n all side dishes were tasteless n cold. Dessert was sabudana Payasam! Icecream was so cheap. 5 ppl paid 5k n totally bad experience n waste of money

“Just brilliant” Lalitha isn’t just a hotel, it’s a destination. As a hotel, staff were wonderful, food was great, breakfast a treat, the bar huge, well stocked & reasonably priced. Good sized rooms but treat yourself to a massive heritage room or suite. A pleasure to have a cooling drink on the vast balcony at sunset before strolling down the grand marble staircase to the lofty dining hall for an excellent dinner. The garden and swimming pool were a treat as well as strolling around the manicured formal gardens to the front. The general manager & his staff do a superb job, well done. Don’t miss this opportunity to stay in a palace & be treated like a maharaja ! Treat yourself to the huge duplex room. Or go mad and have the viceroy suite, amazing ! This is a fantastic opportunity for a palatial stupendous environment that will become a rare opportunity unless you’re extremely wealthy. Go for it ! I spent a week here; came back for another week. Memorable stay with lots of fun visit once for the hospitality located in mysuru, wing of the city, families can enjoy the adventure, and ambiance is mind blowing staff are very helpful helped with requirements visit the property for matured hospitality.

This was my 8th JLR visit and this time the experience was very average. JLR is meant for nature and now its clear that JLR can’t manage luxury properties like laitha Mahal palace. The property is not maintained properly, the deluxe room looks like a two star hotel. Its below average room. When we checked in the bath towels and fridge were not there. Also AC was not working properly. After complaining, it got fixed. the view from the room is good as it is facing the swimming pool. we were not allowed to use DSLR camera. I can understand they were charging for model photo shoot, cinema shooting etc. but for a family staying there, prohibiting for using a DSLR is acceptable.

We booked this place for an overnight stay hoping to experience the grandness at one of this renowned historical place, but only to our disappointment. There was no one at the reception when we reached the hotel. A hotel stuff was too busy talking in phone while we pondered where to park our car and what to do next. When we went in, there was hardly any smile on anyone’s face let alone any welcome drink or appropriate conduct. And that continued for the whole day, not sure if they were too stoned to respond with a hint of smile for once. It did creep us out a little bit to be frank. Anyway, coming to the property. Horrible in terms of maintenance. The whole room smelled like a hospital quarter. There were small insects on the bed. The fan made a “grand” whirring noise. The bathroom was smaller than that of a proper 2 star hotel. Toiletries were minimal, towels were worn out. And the list goes on. Anyway, you can visit this place for experience in the morning or afternoon, but DO NOT book a stay. Prefer an Oyo for better cleanliness and hygiene, no I mean it! Such a waste of our money.
