I was pleasantly surprise with our stay at Murphys Suites! Even though we knew it was an older hotel, it was very well maintained and pleasant. The room was roomy and very quiet. The staff was super friendly and they brought complementary donuts and orange juice to our room for breakfast. They also offer free coffee and soft serve ice cream at the front desk! I would stay again.

This is an excellent 2-3 star hotel. Not swanky by any means but soo nice. Hotel staff were delightful & so pleasant. Rooms were large, super clean, with great A/C (hot when we stayed). They offer FREE soft serve ice cream 24 hours & homemade donuts. We will stay here again.

Excellent dog friendly hotel This is the only dog friendly hotel in Murphy’s. But they really outdid themselves. Only a $15 pet fee per night. For breakfast they offered an assortment of donuts and orange juice delivered to your door. Also had soft serve behind the counter available anytime you desired. It’s about a half a mile walk to get to the main town, but it’s really not that bad. They were so friendly and we will definitely stay there when we go back.

The staff were a delight. They all were so friendly and helpful, from the lovely desk attendants to the remarkable custodial staff. They elevated our stay from just another roadside stop to a memory worth keeping.

Hotel is old and outdated. Bed was awful and pillows were like ricks. Carpet is nasty and bathroom door was missing.

Okay, but be prepared for uncomfortable beds This hotel has the potential to be a really cool roadside hotel, but it misses the mark. We knew it was dated from the pictures, but booked anyway because of the many “excellent” reviews. It did not live up to expectations. The non-smoking room smelled of smoke like it was embedded in the furniture. I had to spray zero odor in the room to help with the odor. There was thick dust on the mirror behind the couch, a huge dark stain on the wall behind the toilet, a squashed bug on the wall of the bathroom and the furniture was tired and uncomfortable. I could handle all of that, but the beds were rock hard and there was only a blanket. No comforter. It was the most uncomfortable 2 nights of sleep. If they invested just a minimal amount in new beds and linens and maybe some new furniture it would vastly improve the stay.
