Baba Guesthouse

Very clean and comfortable. There is air conditioning and a fan, a large bathroom. Nearby is the pier and various restaurants. Cleaning on request, there is a laundry service and bicycle rental. Compared to the previous apartments where I stayed, these are much better and cleaner.

Monsieur Baba qui parle le français nous a accueilli avec gentillesse et nous a prodigué de précieux conseils, notamment de nous avoir fait rencontrer son gendre Boumnie qui dispose d'un bateau et d'un Tuk Tuk avec lequel nous avons fait plusieurs balades sur terre et sur le Mékong, il est adorable et parle bien l'anglais. Les chambres sont confortables, tout est extrêment propre, il y a une terrasse avce vue sur le Mékong, c'est au calme. Vraiment à recommander sans aucune réserve

Located in the tourist hotspot of the island, Ban Dondet within walking distance to the boat pier. Lots of restarants and bars are easy to reach. The location (and island) is peaceful and quiet at night, nothing around you but the sound of the jungle. Baba was very welcoming and helpful. No problem to get a kettle for your room if you need. Rooms are nice, balcony with river view and all you need. No breakfast but there are many options around.

Very clean and large rooms, with elegant mosquito net, which was very useful as there are a lot of mosquitoes in the island. Unfortunately the bed was too hard and led to an uncomfortable nights sleep. The location was good close to all facilities but still very quiet.

I had a truly great stay at BABA Guesthouse. The owner is very friendly and the check-in process went smoothly. I had asked for a room on the first floor and was assigned such room accordingly. From the balcony I enjoyed a beautiful view on the Mekong. The room itself has enough space, a well working (and pretty silent) air conditioning and a fridge to keep drinks cold. The bed offers a mosquito net which I really appreciated. For me personally the mattress was a bit too hard but this depends on individual preferences. The bathroom, as with apperently many of the better places on the island, is rather basic (e.g. one room with shower, sink, toilet – no dividers) but everything worked well. Despite its central location, the place is quiet and I slept well. I can hence fully recommend BABA Guesthouse and, having had a look at other places, I consider it as one of the best options on the island. Highly recommended!
