More Than A Drop

Already on the first day I fell in love with this quiet oasis that allow to hear the singing of the birds, the nearby muezines and pelting of the rain. The rooms and the whole hostel is decorated with an eye for details. Neema, Millie, Nicola and all the students are super attentive, extraordinarily helpful and understanding. They made me feel very welcome and, most important for me, safe and well-prepared for all situations I encountered during my first stay in Moshi. All services - from breakfast (the pancakes are delicious!) to laundry - have high quality. Not least, the view from the terrace on Kilimanjaro really makes this a magical place. I very much hope that More than a Drop continues to exist so that I can stay there again when I return to Moshi.

My husband and I cannot speak more highly of the wonderful hospitality we received - the comfortable accommodation, the tasty cosmopolitan food expertly prepared, the lush garden setting for meals and especially the always the friendly, obliging staff - all made our stay so enjoyable and relaxing!

More Than A Drop (MTAD) is an oasis in Moshi. I stayed for about a week in February 2025. MTAD is located just outside of Moshi. Although I mostly just walked to town tuk tuks or motorcycle rides come by every minute or two. Ths staff are friendly and helpful. They accomodated any request including 5 AM breakfast. Milli arranged for transportation and advised on tours. The breakfast and dinners were delicious offering traditional local dishes as well as conventional favorites. Especially mango sorbet! Much is grown in the gardens. Everything is prepared in house, including fresh baked breads and cakes in the morning. The facility is spotlessly clean. I spent many hours relaxing in the shade on a setee or sipping cold lager on the patio. My time there will be remembered as a hilight of my trip.

The food was phenomenal and their service was unmatched. Very kind and welcoming. Their four course meal filled me up and satisfied my tummy. They presented us with a great show of appreciation for our visit. I would go back again everyday gladly.

The perfect lodge if you want peace and quiet close to Moshi center. Beautiful gardens, stylish interior design of the guest rooms, high quality food and excellent service by kind and helpful staff. I stayed overnight on my way to the airport and will definitely stay again on my way back next week. I found it on TripAdvisor and it clearly exceeded my expectations.

This is a non profit establishment. It provides under privileged girls skills to find jobs in the hospitality sector. Very nice clean rooms. I stayed in one of the bungalow rooms. Comfortable bed, relaxing environment, and delicious food from the restaurant. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. Highly recommend, and it goes to a great cause.
