Hôtel Restaurant de Bouilhac

Spent one night at Hôtel de Bouilhac so we could visit Lascaux IV. The hotel was lovely, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed in room 12 (La Rosée du Matin), which was opulently lovely. One slight negative was the enormous round bathtub / shower, which actually didn't function that well as a shower. Without a curtain, and with only a hand-held shower nozzle, it was difficult not to spray water around the room. Otherwise it was fine. The usual fridge and safe were provided. Breakfast was great. The croissants came straight from heaven. There were very few guests at the hotel, so rather than setting out a buffet, the staff prepared anything we wished for from the kitchen. All the food was fresh and wonderful. One warning: Our Maps app navigated us to the hotel using Rue du Géneral Foy. DON'T take this route. It's a back alley that becomes extremely narrow and has a very nasty turn. Our super-compact car only made it through with an inch to spare on either side. The entrance to the hotel is on Rue du Docteur Mazel, which is the main road in from the south.

Amazing, beautful, historic property with huge rooms and all the appointments. Ten minutes from the UNESCO World Heritiage caves at Lascaux. Wonderful town with many restaurants and bars. Great service. Lovely rose gardens. Fantastic breakfast. One of the finest places we have stayed in our European vacations. Can't go wrong here.

A truly exceptional experience. A comfortable bedroom with large en suite with walk in shower. Wonderful air conditioning needed in the heatwave. The hotel’s walls are very deep stone thus ensuring a cool experience in intense heatwave. The breakfast room offered a wide variety of foods on the buffet and orobably served the needs of all nationalities. A cooked breakfast was also on offer and cooked on request. The front of house staff are a delight and their English admirable. A swimming pool added to the facilities on site. Sadly, not suitable for people with limited mobility. A wonderful experience and would certainly re-visit.

A wonderful, peaceful stay in an exceptional environment. Everything is very well cared for, the rooms and bathrooms are very well appointed and comfortable, furnished in keeping with the historic building's character. The pool and gym area are very well kept and a wonderful addition. The pool is a resistance / tidal pool which is fantastic. Front desk staff are exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful.

Fantastic stay at this lovely hotel, staff was amazing and the hotel is beautifully presented, lovely location I would highly recommend the hotel and the town is perfect, with plenty of shops and restaurants, great value. Will definitely be back

My wife and I visited Montignac-Lascaux for four days and stayed at the Hotel de Bouilhac. The hotel is listed as a historical monument from the 17th century. The rooms are spacious and upon entering our room were greeted with a bottle of champagne. The hotel is convenient to the center of town, the staff extremely competent and friendly. The breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed at the end of a day of touring the hotel's indoor pool.
