A beautiful elegant hotel with incredible views towards Monte canto and the valley and lakes. The service was impeccable throughout with every attention to detail considered. We booked a first floor balcony room in one of the cottages and had a large private balcony with loungers and seats, the beds were very comfy and huge, with crisp cool linen. The food was also exceptional with yummy cocktails and a sumptuous breakfast. Would highly recommend this hotel if travelling around Corsica.

We had the most wonderful honeymoon at Hotel A Piattatella. Every single aspect of our stay was truly exceptional! The setting is idyllic and views unmatched, the hotel itself beautifully designed and fabulously comfortable with amazing facilities, the food was delicious and the excellent staff team could not have done more for us. We cannot praise this hotel and the wonderful team enough! Thank you!

What an incredible hotel! From service, staff, cleanliness and not to mention the stunning views this hotel is a special place for us now. The only slight con is the restaurant is good but not great (staff however are great as always!)

Words do not do this place justice, but I will try.... The Hotel: set into the trees and mountainside overlooking the valley and opposite mountains provides the most spectacular views of this beautiful part of the beautiful island. On many occasions, all we could hear was gentle birdsong - no traffic or aeroplanes - nature ruled over everything. Our "standard" room was more like a premium room, with a fantastic view - and so comfortable and tastefully designed. The in-house food was delicious and of such high quality local produce and preparation. The Staff: every worker in the hotel was lovely and friendly - no request was too much. When we asked for recommendations for eating locally, they booked both the restaurant and taxi for us - and every restaurant was amazing. They were also very patient with my attempts to speak French! Although classified as a hotel, it felt much more personal than what we imagined. And it's not just about the material consumption - everything is so well thought out - the place and the people have a real soul and depth. The 4 days we had took us away from the physical and mental noise of normal life. It was like a 2nd honeymoon and we didn't want to leave. I write this review as I want to express our joy with the place and staff, but I don't want too many people finding out about it - too late now!

I Cannot fault this place. We just one week at Hotel Piatatella and were simply wowed. We had the room in the main building called Monte Grosso. Waking up to the view from the balcony each morning was simply spectacular. One of the best views we have ever had from a bedroom. The hotel is charming and boutique style with only 17 rooms. Everything has been so tastefully decorated that it was a complete pleasure staying there and we felt very at home. We explored the Baling region, using the hotel as a base and tended to do half day’s exploring and half a day by one of the two beautiful swimming pools. There is an honesty bar at the first pool which seemed to work well. I worked out one morning in the the very calming all wood, almost sauna styled gym which has a yoga pavilion looking onto the Corsican Marquis. It was so amazingly located and thought out. Very simple in terms of the machines available however just enough to get a decent work out. Next comes the food, carefully prepared by chef Marie. We ate at the hotel for 3 nights out of our week and it was the best food we have eaten whilst in corsica. The 3 course menu with amuse bouche is incredibly well priced at 48 Euros per head. I believe it was Sunday night where we ate a vegetable tart, magret de canard and moulleux du chocolate. The local wine is very well priced and what I loved was ordering a bottle of wine by the pool and just keeping it in their fridge for dinner or even the following day. These simple touches make the hotel have a feeling like home away from home. Our room was very comfortable, simple, yet stylishly done. The bathroom was a good size with a bath a decent sized shower. Even tiny details like the washing line on the balcony were well thought out. All of the staff were very friendly (shout goes out to Samuel) and one of the owners who we met was delightful. She spoke perfect English. Going to the beach , we were offered towels for the day along with plastic money holders which are invaluable having forgot mine back home. We cannot wait to return to this amazing hotel. We spent a week down south in Bonifaccio and all we kept reminiscing was about the beautiful, raw, North and Hotel a piatatella.
