It was the perfect spot for what we wanted to do during our stay. It was only a 5-10 min hike to the waterfalls which is free since we were guests there. The rooms were very clean and had fantastic views. Breakfast was great by the pool every morning. Definitely a hidden gem!

This place was such a pleasant surprise. We travelled all over Costa Rica, and while this certainly isn’t the most luxurious place you’ll stay in, it definitely has wonderful service and an overall great vibe. The owner is amazing, and was super helpful for us in getting back into town with our luggage to catch the ferry back. Speaking of which - if you’re walking from the town up the hill it’s a very steep walk, so be prepared! Excellent proximity to the waterfall with your own special entrance, your own private hanging bridge, and a fantastic brewery right next to the property to walk to. Overall, we’d happily stay here again!

GOOD Spectacular view, over the canopy and the ocean Small fridge in the room (was missing an ice cube tray though) Small metal table and 2 chairs on balcony BAD Mattress - like laying on a carpeted floor, horrible!!! Pillows - cheap foam filled ones, horrible!! Curtains - just filtered light (no darkening or thermal barrier) which made the room very hot and bright A/C - could barely keep up TV - did not work The hotel is up on a very long, steep hill, so be prepared for a long climb or take a taxi (5000 colones)

Sunshine Sanctuary in Montezuma, Costa Rica, is an absolute nirvanic paradise. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. The room and bathroom were spotless, and the beautiful art and decor were a delight. Everything I needed was included in the room: a safe, television, mini fridge, and cold, crisp water. My favorite part of my room was my private balcony, immersed in the jungle and overlooking the ocean; it left me breathless as I took in the beauty and wildlife around me! The highlight of my mornings was the delicious daily breakfast and coffee—the variety of options and fresh, locally sourced ingredients made waking up a delightful experience. The aromatic coffee topped with cinnamon perfectly complemented the scrumptious breakfast, setting the tone for a day filled with exploration and adventure. One of the most memorable experiences was the gorgeous hike to a stunning waterfall. The sanctuary's location amidst lush rainforests provided the perfect backdrop for this awe-inspiring trek. The breathtaking cascade and refreshing pool at the end of the hike were unforgettable, and I cherished every moment of jumping into the pool and connecting with nature's beauty. Another highlight of the sanctuary is Panorama, the open-air bar overlooking the jungle and ocean. It offers a tranquil setting to unwind and relish the picturesque scenery. Sipping refreshing beverages while gazing at the panoramic views was a treat for the senses. Last but certainly not least, the Sunshine Sanctuary has a fantastic hanging bridge. This walking bridge provides a unique vantage point to marvel at the surrounding landscapes overlooking the canopy. Sunshine Sanctuary is an oasis of natural wonders and comforts that exceeded all my expectations. It leaves me eager to return and visit with the kind staff and explore even more of its enchanting offerings.

O hotel está numa localização única , no topo de uma colina, com óptima vista sobre o mar, e tem infra-estruturas de qualidade. No entanto, a limpeza é muito limitada e a manutenção encontra-se em falta. À chegada, o estacionamento tem um monte de entulho proveniente de obras com demasiado tempo, o Check in foi feito por dois adolescentes e a limpeza havia sido feita há demasiado tempo e de forma limitada.
