Want a terrible experince in Jamaica? Go to Round Hill ! See the pictures for what 950 bucks a night gets you at this sewer of a hotel. We booked through Amex Fine Hotels as we have booked many amazing hotels over 15 years. It was just two of us so we booked a room, (not a villa) in the Pineapple House. We booked the highest category with an oceanfront room. Upon checking in we asked the bellman where the drawers were for our clothes. He showed us dirty wicker baskets and said this is where we were to put 6 days of clothes. Because there is a dress code at dinner we had several outfits per day packed and there was no way I was living out of a suitcase for almost a week on a vacation. Yes you read that right. THERE ARE NO DRAWERS! The room was filthy. Mold in the sink and tub (and on a chair) and a line of ants marching across the bathtub. It was stifling hot even though the air conditioning was on and the floor had bits and pieces of debris along with hair. The towel bar was pulling out of the wall. We asked the reception for another room with drawers at which point they told me the only rooms that have drawers are the three bedroom villas and that would be another 4,000 on top of the 5K. For 6 days for two people. By the way this is NOT all inclusive. When I asked about the upgrade with Fine Hotels program (a perk), they said, no that we had the highest category before a villa. When I said we would have to leave they said they would keep my entire 6 day stay. I explained that wasn’t really fair since the photos on the website do not portray the room accurately and there isn’t a place for our clothing. They said they would speak to the manager who conveniently wasn’t there at that time. So we had to wait. Several hours. And when it started getting towards dinner time (with us sitting in the sitting hot open air lobby) I knew we would have to stay the night because we were running out of time to get a hotel and transportation etc. When I mentioned to them that we needed to make a decision they said, “well you might as well stay since we will be charging you for tonight.” We went back to the room and started to make calls. I was able to secure a reservation at Half Moon-which was fabulous. The room was so hot and the island crickets were deafening. As it turns out there was NO GLASS ON SEVERAL OF THE DOOR PANELS. Yes, that’s right. Just wooden louvers on the door to a first floor room where a mom and daughter were supposed to sleep. Anyone could have walked down the beach and kicked in the louvers. Not to mention it was like stifling hot and loud from the crickets. Literally so ridiculous that when I tell this story to my traveling friends they can’t believe it. The door to the room was super flimsy with a silly lock and I piled our luggage against it as well as moved a chair against the back door with no glass. As you can see the oceanfront view was a joke and the patio furniture was from the another century

The most magical and special resort! It’s one of those pinch me moments where it didn’t feel real. The staff and quality of the food was outstanding. Everyone was so pleasant and genuinely kind. I can’t wait to go back!

For my girlfriends birthday a total of six of us rented a villa here. The villa was nice with three bedrooms accommodating all of us comfortably. We had a staff daily that prepared us breakfast as well as cleaned the villa. We also had our own private pool that made for some interesting activities after dinner. They also have a restaurant, spa & pool with beach front. A concierge that could plan daily activities in Montego Bay and we hired a van with driver for the entire stay. If you go I would recommend book directly with the hotel rather than a travel agent who used a third party Classic Vacations. Also use Club Mobay for navigating the airport and lounge use well worth the money. The Villa comes bare no drinks or food for snacking late night and room service is expensive a bottle of Don Julio was $450. Also no tv or microwave. And if you go to dinner in their restaurant they automatically add 18% gratuity and another 10% our server said was tax which I didn’t see elsewhere in Montego Bay. That’s 28% added and I still haven’t tipped the server so I felt that was enough so unfortunately nothing for her other than share the 18% with restaurant staff. If you have a mobility problem this is a problem you have to go up stairs with no railings. My girlfriend used the spa and they charge you by how much pressure is applied . The staff was friendly as are most Jamaicans but if something goes wrong they won’t correct it especially if it involves their money as what happened at a restaurant in Montego Bay. Overall the trip was memorable. One love ❤️

Round Hill is simply without peer in luxury travel. My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom suite for our honeymoon in June and we were absolutely blown away with Round Hill’s physical beauty, design, food, and most of all service. Our one bedroom suite by almost any other measure would have been considered a villa. We had more balconies than we could count, two full baths, an outdoor shower in its own grotto of sorts, a private and very secluded plunge pool, and the most romantic king size bed. Everything from the hard woods to the brass finishes was impeccably done. We spent most of our days bouncing from the beach to the pool to our own pool. Each was perfect. The first day on the beach we saw sea life (a skate, a couple crabs, some sea urchins, several different fish). I also really appreciated Round Hill’s commitment to protecting and growing the reef around it. Round Hill felt truly one with its environment in the most beautiful of ways. The food was consistently excellent. We always felt very connected to Round Hill’s Jamaican heritage. The seafood was as fresh as can be. The drinks were perfectly balanced - especially those with fresh ginger. We had plenty of options for both restaurant dining (menu changed daily) and in-room dining. But it is the service that puts Round Hill in a league of its own. We could not take more than a few steps without one of the incredibly warm staff offering to help us, bring us a towel or a drink, or simply a ride up the hill. We have stayed in some of the finest hotels in the world and Round Hill puts them to shame. Round Hill embodies everything a vacation should be. Connection with a magical place, warm and loving hospitality, elegance without excess. Round Hill is a timeless classic, a Caribbean treasure, a first in class destination that has stood the test of time. It is no surprise that dignitaries, celebrities, and royalty choose Round Hill over and over. We have just left and are already planning our return. Thank you, Round Hill, for the most magical honeymoon.

Round hill was amazing and exceeded our expectations! The resort was compact and easy to get around. The room was perfect and the shared spaces are beautiful. The service was mainly great - shout out to Larry and his crew at the pool bar - they were wonderful!! I think Jackie at breakfast may have been having a bad week but every single other person we encountered was great! The managers reception on Wed night was lovely. And the food, my husband can’t stop talking about it. Truly a give star experience. Our one thing for improvement would be a better wifi signal around the resort. Also complimentary sunscreen would be a nice touch. Yeah Mon!
