What a wonderful place to stay! We only had 2 nights here, but will be going there again. A lovely 19th Century chateau, still owned by the original family, and beautifully modernised without losing the classic feel and style. It really is amazing. Every room is filled with family ornaments, antique pieces and furniture - it is just like a stately home that you would pay just to visit. Spacious grounds, large pool, large rooms, great breakfast. And the price is so inexpensive, we paid more for every other overnight stay on this trip, and none were so impressive.

We were disappointed with this country hotel. It’s a beautiful building though not very welcoming inside. It’s hard to imagine trying to relax in the antique furniture arranged in formal circles in the drawing room. The grounds are extensive with a big garden but not maintained very well and rather overgrown. Our bedroom was lovely though not very big, with beautiful furniture and the bed was very comfortable. But there was no bathroom door for privacy. And we couldn’t believe there were holes in the duvet cover – had to take a photo! Breakfast was OK but there was no fruit except for apples straight from the local trees. We would have appreciated information about the area and where to find nearby cafes, etc. Instead we were sent a stream of emails pushing us to book dinner at the hotel. The emails also sternly advised that check in was only from 5-7pm - very restrictive for a country hotel. It felt like they wanted you in and out as quickly as possible. It would have been more helpful to have been told about the road closure that meant a long detour to reach the hotel. Finally when we left we were overcharged for the room tax. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel

This is a cross between a lovely country home and a small hotel full of beautiful furniture, pictures and exudes class and luxury. Everything is supremely comfortable and we absolutely loved it from the moment we were welcomed by the young owner manager, Axelle, a charming descendant of the long time owners. The pool is the perfect place to relax and the breakfast and dinner, ( lunch is not provided), on the terrace overlooks the substantial gardens. Being small it does not provide some of the facilities of a larger five star hotel but is all the better for it. The staff were most pleasant and ever helpful. Stay there if you possibly can.

Beautiful, charming and generous little family hotel managed with love. Stylish decor, comfortable beds and great breakfast.it is situated in a big park with old beautiful trees, nice swimming pool and outdoor terrace for barbecue and drinks.

Beautiful old castle in a quiet setting. Room was large and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was quite large and everything was delicious. The hostess is amazingly helpful and gracious. Many contacts prior to arrival made us feel appreciated. While we were not able to eat dinner because they were not serving the night of our stay. We were recommended several nearby restaurants. The one we chose (Bistrot Constant) was a wonderful meal. Thank you for everything. Tout va bien!
