We booked a caravan pitch. Arrived and checked in swiftly with an English speaking clerk. Pitch was as described right on the lakeside with a great view towards sirmione. Bar was open all day and showed all the euro 2024 matches. On site shop stocked most essentials and there are supermarkets within 10 minutes by car. On site restaurant was decent but there are nicer venues along the lake within 10 minute walk. Showers, toilet, pot wash all clean and in good order. We had a lovely stay and apart from a few ants had no complaints at all. Would recommend. You might need levelling blocks for your van.

We had an excellent time with two of our adult children sharing the Jade Villa with us and four others in a tent on the pitch opposite. It is a fabulous campsite where you can relax in peace. It had a beachside bar which played music and you could get cocktails and drinks and a basic market. Staff are friendly and helpful. Beautiful views of the lake. Will definitely be back!

We booked a superior cabin with a lake view and a terrace. There was nothing superior about it - we didn’t even have a kettle. There was no lake view, and the terrace comprised a small area of concrete shared with another cabin situated approx 3 metres away from us. When we first arrived, we noticed a few ants around one of the closed windows, but sprayed some repellent and thought no more about it. However, when we awoke the next day, the whole cabin was infested with ants. They had been coming in through small gaps in the unopened windows. We had to abandon the cabin immediately, including some of our belongings, which were crawling with ants. We were offered an alternative cabin for our second night, but by that time we had lost all faith in the site. We were offered no compensation or refund for our first night. A pretty terrible experience really.

We had a super week camping at Fontanelle. The selling point was definitely the location, right on the lakeside with a short walk to many restaurants and bars - a good atmosphere. The pitch was a good size and more than adequate for a big tent and car. Ours was quite sunny but other pitches were more shady. The toilet facilities were cleaned regularly, quite basic but ok. The chance to hire pedalo's and paddle boards right outside. Check in staff were very friendly and helpful - we hired a fridge for the week. We didn't use the pool much as it was busy and in full sun. This was a good location for visiting the lake and to see Verona and a full day out to Venice.

Wir waren Mitte September vor Ort. Alle freien Stellplätze, welche uns angeboten wurden, waren plötzlich nicht mehr frei, dafür wurde uns lediglich ein Schattenplatz in einem anderen Gebiet angeboten. Bei der Anmeldung sollten wir vorab unsere Aufenthaltsdauer auf dem Campingplatz festlegen. Ich sagte 7 Tage oder früher. Bei der Abreise nach 2 Tagen sollten wir die vollen 7 Tage bezahlen -mit viel Druck sollte ich eingeschüchtert werden-. Nach einem längeren verbalen Kampf bezahlte ich aber nur die 2 Tage. Ist mir so nach 50 Jahren Campingerfahrung noch nicht untergekommen. Sanitäranlagen sehr einfach aber in Ordnung. WLAN war unbrauchbar. Stellplätze sind sehr klein, für unseren Campingbus in Ordnung. Stellplätze hinter dem Restaurant werden durch Lärm und Küchengerüche, ausgehend von der Abluftanlage des Restaurants beaufschlagt. Steile enge Zufahrt direkt vor dem Platz über mehrere 100 Meter, 2 Wohnwagen oder 2 Wohnmobile kommen dort nicht aneinander vorbei.

Der Platz ist für eine bis Zwei Übernachtung ok. Er sollte besser Gepflegt werden . Die Sanitären Anlage sind in die Jahre gekommen. Es hat ein Mangel an Toiletten Papier daher immer Selber mitnehmen. Das Personal ist nett und freundlich. Es hat eine Tolle Strandpromenade
