MoMa Molfetta Mare

By far the best aspect of staying here is the host Ylenia who contacted us the day before our arrival with tips on where to park and was waiting for us. Nothing is ever too much trouble for this lovely young lady whose command of English is excellent. The location of the B & B is excellent. Close to the sea within a lovely old part of the town which seems to have been recently regenerated. The rooftop terrace is great with sea views and an outdoor shower. We were able to find free parking a 5 minute walk away. The breakfast is adequate but nothing special and we were woken by the sounds of it being set up each morning. Unfortunately, other aspects of the property let it down. As soon as you enter you can smell the damp. The smell is strongest in the breakfast room in the basement, which has a dehumidifier and pink mould on the stone walls. Our room "Sabbia" on the ground floor also had damp issues and as reviews I have read suggest, nothing seems to have been done to properly address the issue. Peeling paint around the tiny window and in the corner of the room. There was also black mould around the base of the shower which could quite easily have been cleaned off. We also found a previous guest's toenail clipping on the bathroom floor and the area beneath the bed hadn't been cleaned in a while. The tiny bedroom window and bathroom window both opened onto the street. There is a restaurant directly outside the ground floor so no privacy with them open and with zero light and very little ventilation it is no wonder that there is a damp issue. This would also feel claustrophobic for some people. Anyone with asthma or allergies would be wise to avoid this property. We only stayed 2 nights but we discussed these issues with other guests who were experiencing the same as us. I would not recommend staying here until the issues with the damp are rectified.

Non tutto puo' essere perfetto... Le mie segnalazioni vogliono essere solo un aiuto affinchè questa struttura possa ancora migliorare. Ecco cosa non ha funzionato rispetto alle aspettative: - scala a chiocciola per raggiungere camere piano superiore senza alcun tipo di corrimano solo muro a cui appoggiarsi portando su le valigie - entrata in camera dietro porta bagno trovato telo doccia utilizzato dal precedente ospite e cestino rifiuti sporco - camera molto spoglia, il comodino una mensola 25×25 cm circa, gli unici due appendini in bagno posti molto alti. Io alta 1.60 faticavo a raggiungerli come pure gli attaccapanni nell'armadio. tappetino per doccia tutto stracciato nel bordo - nel foglio presentazione si parla di colazione in cantina. Io avrei scritto in taverna sarebbe stato piu' carino. Anche se in effetti era proprio la cantina dove nessuno ci ha servito la colazione, dovevi fare tutto da solo. Una misera mini brioche, succo e latte da quanto tempo aperti? barattolo marmellata in comune dove tutti attingono - per fortuna non ci e' toccata camera a piano terra perche' attaccato al muro c'era un bar aperto dal pomeriggio a mezzanotte con musica di sottofondo - terrazza dove posacenere era stracolmo di mozziconi ( gli ospiti al massimo possono essere 8), sacchetto con rifiuti abbandonato da qualcuno che l'ha utilizzata. Insomma non lo consiglierei. Forse noi siamo partiti frequentando un b&b a Barletta dove la colazione viene servita in una saletta molto carina, direttamente dal proprietario della struttura e dove abbiamo sempre trovato dolce e salato, prodotti locali come focaccia pugliese, dove e' anche carino fare due chiacchere.
