We have just spent a week on 2 powered sites at the Goolwa Discovery Park with our kids and their kids John who booked us in was so nice and accommodating as we needed to swop the sites we had already booked. All the amenities were excellent and cleaned very well each day even the dump point which we were opposite and the cleaning staff were also friendly. But the best part were the activities offered to the kids every other day. Fiona and her helper were amazing and the activities were not cheap and nasty but very good quality so we commend Discovery for doing this. The sites were large with even some having double slabs. The two pools were excellent with one being heated and the water park feature was great. Would highly recommend

We have always found the facilities at this park to be great, but the addition of en suite powered sites has put it in the exceptional bracket. It is super clean, safe, and well located for a holiday on The Fleurieu Peninsula. We have found no equal to this venue in the region.

If your kids bring pet Bunnies camping this park has lots of rabbits with myxomatosis so don't bring your pet rabbits. There are so many and they are infected and any pet bunny would be infected too. Great park but no place for loved Bunnies. Glad we left ours home this time.

Was quite happy to book on line but price quoted per night did not equate with what should have been total price. Tried ringing 3 times, each time leaving a message. Answering machine each time saying someone will ring you shortly. Very disappointed, went elsewhere

We stayed on the deluxe camp site and it was beautifully set up with our own private fire pit, grassed area and party lights. The site was huge and close by amenities. Unfortunately though, the soccer pitch was right next to it so we had the joy of listening to yelling kids playing soccer up to 10pm each night and had people walking through the site to access their own sites behind. It seemed like poor planning when all of the other kids playground, bouncy pillow, pool etc. were all together. It would have been a much nicer stay had the soccer pitch been placed with other entertainment. I would recommend if staying asking for the deluxe site 184 on it's own. We were at 187. Unfortunately too, though through no fault of the managements, it was awfully windy the whole time we were there. It's a great park for kids but more careful planning would benefit the deluxe sites from a noise and access perspective. Management were very friendly upon check in. More paper towel dispensers needed in the new amenities block as they ran out daily. We won't be back.

We had the worst week of weather- strong winds and rain - over 6 mm. (This can’t be helped) Two families children under 8.Sites 170&171, low point for the park. After the rain caravans surrounded by 2-5mm of water. Approached the ‘dragon lady’ at reception advising her that we were in ‘a swamp’ and asked to be able to hire a cabin for the remainder of our stay. Given a flat’No’ and no offer of assistance. So we performed our own flood mitigation works! and Op-shopped while the water drained away. However the kids loved the park, the new amenities adequate although two cleans a day needed. Sites have no shade but planting has taken place and would be uncomfortable on a hot day. Big pool does not have shade cloth. Unsure if we would return.
