호텔 페니스 밀라노(Hotel Fenice)

방에 커피메이커나 주전자가 있으면 좋을 것 같아요. 나는 아침 식사 외에 뜨거운 음료를 마실 수 없었다

Toller Service und ein sauberes Hotel.

We spent six days in Milan to rediscover the city. Since we arrived with the airport bus to the Centrale the location of Fenice was good, only four stops by tram. It was also walking distance to most places we wanted to visit, even if the nearest parts of the walks were quite dull. It is also close to trams and metro. The hotel is very well kept and clean. The breakfast was excellent. The rooms are very small, the only place to sit is on the bed. It is a lively area with lots of bars and restaurants.

I spent 2 nights in a single room on the last floor facing the backyard. I have asked a quiet room on upper floor, and that was exactly what I got. The room was tiny and a bit old-fashioned, but well arranged. Every single corner was utterly clean. Only negative comment: I would have really appreciated a kettle in the room. Breakfast is fine. The staff is extremely kind and supportive. The hotel is located just out of the metro station, which is very convenient. The city centre (Piazza del Duomo) can be reached also by foot. Probably because of this location, the hotel is a bit expensive for what it provides. Overall recommended, despite not a business hotel.

Having just stayed at the fabulous 3star hotel Petronilla in Bergamo…wow was this a come down. It was more like a Travelodge. The breakfast offer was pretty basic with not even a fruit bowl on offer with bananas or apples. The room was fine but the toiletries were very limited. No hair conditioner or paper hankies and the hairdryer belonged in a museum. The atmosphere in reception was pretty bleak with an older dark haired woman who was brusque to say the least and made a joke out of my name telling me it was harsh and German. (It’s soft Irish Gaelic)

Teribble rooms and hopelessly bad service. Easter 2023 gave us the worst hotel experince for many years. Compared to describtion and pictures at the Hotel Fenice home page, Hotel Fenice should have bright rooms with plenty of sunlight. We were placed in two rooms 112/114 with wiew to a schakt and one meter from the neighbourrooms toilet (in the schakt) …… so we were a part of all the toilet visits. As soon as we got the rooms, we went to the reception, and the person nearly laughed at us and ask us to open the door beside the window in our room ….. there just wasn’t any door. We were also told, that we should be very happy for the silent room away from the street. Don’t ever use this hotel. Terrible romms with absolutely no daylight and a direct look into your neighbours toilet. Next morning we were told , that our wish for at bathtub, was the reason for the terrible rooms - how should we know that? Extremely much noise from other rooms, the undergrund and the schakt. Never, never, never again. Stay away.

In total we we’re satisfied. Location is good, lots of good restaurants nearby. Breakfast were ok. Guide clean in the room.

The receptionist was very friendly and the breakfast was ok. Room was very small you can barely walk, the AC makes a lot of noise, probably because the filter was dirty and old (never cleaned) We all got allergies after staying there. And the TIP of the iceberg was that we were robbed. We had money stolen from inside the safe while the room key was at the reception. When we complained about it we were told to go to the police. Obviously we didn’t get our money back and we were very frustrated. I certainly do not recommend this hotel. It ruined our vacation and we felt uncomfortable that they didn’t care. Obviously it is a hotel staff since they were the only ones with a key. Very disappointed

The photos do not reflect what your about to get. There’re are no 2 windows - there’s 0. There bo bath tub. And the size of the room is twice smaller the size in the picture. Its a fraud. The guy in the reception said - “we take photos of our best rooms, that doesn’t mean all our rooms look the same” Never experienced something like this before. Stay away.
