I spent 4 nights here in a medium-size one-bedroom apartment (592 sq ft/55 sq meters), and really enjoyed it. I like Cuauhtemoc, having stayed a few doors down on the same street at Armonik Suites, which is owned by the same company. The area is quasi-residential, and was a nice way to end my 3-week trip away from the hustle-bustle of Centro Historico. The owner, Hermann, was on-site when I arrived, and was very kind and hospitable. He speaks excellent English, and took his time explaining all of the amenities. He also recommended places to eat and shop. There is a Walmart Express grocery store conveniently located only 5 blocks from the hotel. Across the street from the Walmart is a pharmacy, YZA, where you can get your Covid antigen test for only 349 pesos (about $17.50 USD), no appointment needed. The hotel is small -- only 7 apartments, so book early to ensure availability. The rooms are cleaned daily, and if you stay for at least a week, they will do one load of laundry for free. The kitchen is well-equipped with a stove, mini-fridge, blender, toaster, and coffee maker. WiFi is good, and there are plugs by the bed to charge your electronics. There is a smart TV, and Hermann provides written instructions on how to operate it. Water in the shower is hot, and the pressure is good. The hotel is quiet, and I didn't mind the outside noise, even though my room faced the street. The front desk is not staffed, but there is always someone in the building -- Hermann, the housekeeper, or the security guard -- if you need assistance. They provide you with a key to the front door of the building, so you can enter and leave without having to be buzzed in or out. If you have a car, parking is free. The hotel is walkable to many locations, including Paseo de la Reforma, Chapultepec Park, the Angel of Independence, Torre Mayor, and many others. I really like the neighborhood, and in the morning you can see people jogging, walking their dogs, or just taking a morning stroll. My stay here was excellent, and I plan to come back and stay for a longer time. I hated to leave!
