I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent experience at the hotel, Quinta da Palmeira Country House. On 17/08/2023, I made a reservation for two adults and one infant for a two-nights stay. The reservation was made through *********** and was confirmed. When I arrived at the hotel, I was informed by the owner that I could not be accommodated because the only room available was in the main house and that my daughter, who is one month old, would be too noisy and disturb the other guests. I was very surprised by this response, as at the hotel page on *********** states that it is "family-friendly" and there is no mention of any age restrictions. Additionally, the hotels at the surrounding area were fully booked, so no other options for us with a baby. I was very polite to the owner, but he was very rude and unhelpful. He told me that there was nothing he could do and that I should find another place to stay at 8pm. I am very disappointed with the owner's attitude and the way I was treated. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and I would never stay there again. I expect with this to prevent other people from having the same unpleasant experience I had.
