레이크 코모 피스 로지(Lake Como Peace Lodge - Casa Della Pace)

We stayed here for one night. It's a hostel, so don't expect anything fancy, but both reception and guests are friendly with good vibes. You can only check in at 5, and the walk to the lake and the ferry is downhill (or uphill going back) so not as quick as you might expect. Room was very basic but not as basic as the shower. Lift only worked part of the way up. You need to set up the bed and clean up as you leave, and better bring your own food for breakfast as there's not much there. I guess it's ok for a hostel but I felt s strong urge for a bit more when we looked where to stay for our next stop.

didnt expect much from the price but this was horrible. we had scratchy bedsheets, a sheet cover to place ontop and then another scratchy blanket above that. No duvet or heating, the covers were incredibly thin and cheap. even wrapping ourselves fully in them did not deter the cold. Froze over all night only subsiding until the sun waked. I am diabetic and my body was fighting the heat so hard I kept having to eat sugar throughout the night. Neither of us got any sleep though due to my low body fat percentage i suffered more from the cold. children will probably die here, only in peaks of high summer should anyone ever consider visiting this place. The receptionist came out and stood by the entrance specifically to watch me and my partner as we smoked cigarettes and showed affection to each other - very creepy. Coming here is a weight/fat loss strategy but nothing else.

Spouse, I and 2 service dogs stayed here as our first hostel experience. Started out rocky bc we ended up in a room that was perhaps the smallest. On the good side, it had a lake view and dual aspect windows. However it was simply too small for us so we told Dalila that we'd have to shorten our stay to 2 nights and eat the loss if we couldn't move to a larger room. I believe the lodge was fairly well subscribed when we were there. Next morning, Dalila made some magic and moved us into a room which was larger than we needed...lost the lake view but it actually became quite a comfortable stay for us. When staying on Lk Como, you don't really spend alot of time in your room so we weren't looking for frills. But the room was clean, if outdated sheets, furnishings etc...but it IS a hostel not a hotel. Being clean was our priority so we stayed for our originally booked stay. We appreciated the flexibility and welcoming attitude of Dalila and others at the hostel. As FYI, the sister property down the hill Lk Como Hostel has a restaurant with good prices and good quality food. The only other thing to note is that the property is old and probably on an ancient sewage system. The ensuite bathroom smelled, but we figured out that after each use of the shower, you block the drain and the smell is pretty much gone. Pretty much, tutto bene.

The hostel is situated in the most stunning location. The food area great. However. The hostel is in dire need for renovation. We'd booked a family room and it was truly awful. Couldn't fit an adult in the toilet room. It was covered in mould and dirty tiles. The bedroom was in a terrible state. Wallpaper peeling, hair in plug hole. Breakfast was not worth it. I had a bowl of cereal for 6 euros. When I complained I was told I should have said something at the time. Yet I was telling the staff upon check out. They didn't want to know. So disappointed with our stay.

This property is in a very good location but is very outdated. The furniture in the room was super old. There was no heating so we were pretty cold at night. Our bathroom was extremely small, basically taking a shower while sitting on the toilet. Stuff though was extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast was simple but very nice. This place is within walking distance from everywhere !!! I might stay there again but definitely would take my own towels, blanket, pillow and warm pajamas.

A great stay a bit uphill which gives you a sense of peace and quiet. Wonderful mountain and lake views from my room. Some small touches (such as hangers in the extremely small bathroom) could make this already wonderful place even more wonderful! A nice garden to relax or to take a drink in the evening.

La chica que nos atendio, fue muy amable. El estado de las instalaciones es mejorable y la limpieza tambien. Dan un pequeño desayuno mas que decente para empezar el dia.

Auberge de jeunesse sympa, propre, bien placée. Personnel très agréable. Le petit déjeuner est correct. Nous avions une chambre de 5 avec une salle de bains dans la chambre : un lit double et lits superposés. Une serviette est fournie pour chacun.
