Firstly, I cannot say a bad word about any of the staff. All of them were very friendly, helpful and professional. The lower rating is due to the fact that for €450 per night I would expect nothing less than perfection. As others have said, the hotel has amazing views from the higher floors, and I believe this is their justification for the room rate. What I don’t expect is an air conditioning unit in the bedroom to be warming the room up, a broken toilet seat that repeatedly broke (we ended up fixing it ourselves in the end) wiring to the hairdryer in the bathroom that was exposed and downright dangerous, an old, stained plastic kettle that sounded like a rocket taking off, thin, ragged curtains that don’t block the sunlight out and uncomfortable mesh chairs on the balcony with no cushions. None of this presents a luxurious experience, In my opinion all of the rooms should have an iron and ironing board. We had to message reception to get one brought to the room and a poor maid had to struggle up the endless steps to bring it. When I plugged it in the wire was hot and again seemed dangerous! The room was clean and we had fresh towels every day, however the rooms need money spending on them to bring them up to date, especially the bathrooms. Getting a sunbed is a bit hit and miss, there aren’t enough for all of the guests, so it depends if people are out or on the beach. In my opinion this hotel needs to offer more than just the views for the price point.

We had a wonderful stay all week - the room, the pool, the team & the food was fabulous. Special mention to Kostos, Nicky & Sitorius who we saw everyday and are just brilliant - & to those who's names I can't remember. You have a brilliant team at Aegean & such attention to service whilst offering such a personal service is indeed a rare find

It was a lovely hotel all the staff were lovely really helpful and couldnt do enough. . Breakfast was good made better by Dimitrious serving us. As we were all inclusive we tried most of the meals over the week they were all delicious. My husband wasn't keen on the seafood risotto but that's his preference. The location is great 15 minutes to skiathos town or catch the bus( if you can get on it) very busy. Our room was lovely with a jacuzzi. It has only 22 rooms so felt it was a really friendly hotel we met some lovely people staying there. Just be aware dependent on what room you are in there are lots of steps to climb, in the heat it can be tiring. Skiatos is Beautiful

Me and my partner had the most incredible stay at the aegean and will 100% be returning. The cleanliness, staff, views, food/drinks and everything about it were flawless. Special mention to these lovely people who made our stay so special, Ludojiv, Niki, Dimities, Mary and Sotiris (who makes a killer old fashioned). Thank you so much for an amazing stay. Stunning hotel with amazing staff. Great rooms and breakfast was lovely. Close to Skiathos town , a beach and various great restaurants. I have never been to a hotel where we were made so welcome and looked after, nothing was too much trouble. As others have said there are quite a few steps we were on the top floor can be tough going in the heat but so worth it for the views. We had an evening meal at the hotel a couple of times and it was very nice and reasonably priced. Thank you to Demitris, Niki, Sotiris and the rest of the team .
