I booked a "family two-bedroom suite" at Riad Bayti Marrakech specifically choosing it for its ground floor accessibility, as evidenced by the screenshot of Riad Bayti’s description of “Entire unit located on ground floor”. Upon arrival on Dec 2, 2023, Abdel informed me that the ground floor suite was already given away, contradicting the web description. Then, despite showing him the screenshot and telling him our senior citizen was over 90 years old and could not climb the stairs, Abdel tried to convince me that the photos applied to the top floor suite, therefore I should take that one. The fact was that both family 2-room suites shared the same photos. Riad Bayti and Abdel wasted our time, disrupted our plan, and caused tremendous distress for our family. I requested a full refund from Abdel before we left, which he agreed to. However, there was no refund whatsoever. I was very disappointed that they did not keep their words again. Only after I posted my bad experience with Riad Bayti, Abdel started to contact me about refund but he was still denying the misleading information online and his wrongdoing. Finally the owner of this Riad contacted me and agreed to refund the cost of the night we didn’t stay and kindly compensated for our damage. Morocco is a beautiful country but our first experience of the country was with Abdel at Riad Bayti which unfortunately left us an unpleasant impression.
