There are so many things to be aware of here and the resort. Firstly, as a resort, make sure you budget properly. I’ve been on a Turkish holiday 6 times before but this time it was much dearer than staying at home. I was charged £117.50, 11 nights, for air conditioning and WiFi. An ordinary basic pasta dish was £18, bogof G&T was £10. In my local supermarket here in England you can buy a bottle of gin, 1litre, for £17.50. In the resort the cheapest I found was £25. The hotel lacked on many fronts. Make sure your room is as far away as possible from the bar and so called “entertainment” unless you like to sleep in an ear busting environment. Unpacking I turned the shower on to get a feel of the temperature and pressure. The shower tray immediately overflowed for me to discover hair in the plug and broken glass….. thankfully I found this out before stepping in. The food, I ate just once here, was at best terrible. Lasagne, arriving 10 minutes after ordering, was clearly a frozen solid mass void of meat and served with chips (always a no no in my opinion) and a salad that was wet. Misogyny from the male part of the entertainment team was embarrassing and totally disrespectful….I literally cringed at the shenanigans going on. The one lady, Eva, on the team was great, she got the customers involved and gave them fun, until the boys kicked in and left them miserable. There’s a bar a 2 minute walk away at the back of the hotel called whetherspoons, friendly, a little cheaper and happy to do anything for you. I created my own pasta dish not on the menu, the hardworking chef obliged and even when I asked if the salmon was frozen they dispatched a rider to the local fish market to get fresh. In short, buyer beware…… I gave 2 stars because the daily cleaner was lovely and went over and above, she even got me a bobbly feet cleaning shower mat when I pretended to slip….I’ve bought one for home!
