The Chronicles of Travelodge... I was staying at this travelodge with my family, and wanted a cheap and quick option since we were staying here for a short while. Here is an IN DEPTH list of Pros and Cons... PROS: ● There is a radiator that slightly works only in one corner of the room. (Could be dangerous if you leave it on overnight, as it is electric, not gas). ● There is tea (P&G Tips) to take away the stress of all the cons... Although it's quite bland, it's complementary. 🤷♀️ ● The soap is in a dispenser, but I would suggest bringing your own shower gel, though. ● Curtains block out some light at night ● A couple of mirrors ● There are plenty of lights and switches to confuse you. ● Lots of desk space and storage. ● The receptionist is kind and welcoming. ☺️ ● Birds chirp In the morning, as an alarm at 4:00 ● They gave us a refund for the breakfast 👍 CONS: ● *I was warned in many other reviews about the breakfast box, but I thought it was a myth, but no, you get a sloppy box with some cornflakes and milk and a granola bar as advertised. (Better off going to Sainsburys down the road. Even Greggs is better than the box!!)* ● The area is kind of dodgy, there is an abandoned building to the left as soon as you step out of your car, the "Hotel" is away from the motorway, so it's relatively quiet. (You might miss the entrance if you don't look.) ● Car Park is a bit confusing. All of the parking spaces have worn away ● The room door is confusing. It's almost like a school door that closes automatically but can not be reliable. (I would recommend sticking one of the 2 chairs behind it, just to be safe!!) ● The place is very dusty and gives off a care home vibe... ● If you have a room on the ground floor, you can hear people walking around upstairs, like giants from BFG. ● One room could not accommodate more than 1 person (if you are in urgent need to stay, I would not recommend more than one day). ● The beds are disgraceful and uncomfortable, and the sheets had hair on them and are itchy, feeling like paper (could have used some febreze because the room STINKS) ● The single bed is terrible and has no support. ● The cushions are like rocks ● The painting above the double bed is not nearly high enough, and I managed to bash my head 2 TIMES as I got in and out of bed. ● There is no fridge. ● The TV is a bit glitchy, but you can watch BBC and ITV on it. ● No wifi is available ● There are no outlets on the bedside tables ● BATHROOM DOOR HAS NO LOCK!!! ● The shower is not that great for people under 6ft, if you are under 6ft, then your whole head will get drenched. It's basically a standing bath! ● The shower tap is very confusing. You have to find the right temperature of hot and cold before pulling the pin for the shower, or it will go wrong. ● There are no floor mats, just a grippy one in the bathtub. ● The shower curtain is atrocious and stinks, with mould right at the bottom of it. ● Rain spots above the sho
