Palmyrah House

Hardly a choice in places with a pool in Mannar, that might be the reason why this place overcharges the tourists 100%. Friendly staff, smallish rooms, good pool, decent set menu dinner and breakfast. All great at 3-star level, but how they dare to charge prices above USD 200 is beyond our understanding. If you need to visit Mannar area, find something with better value for money.

We had a great experience at this hotel which is situated in Mannar slightly away from the city. The welcome was great but genuinely we didn’t much enjoy the lunch. The presentation was good but not tasty and much less than we expected and experienced in a similar ranking hotel. We had no choice at all. Rooms were good Water pressure in the bathroom has to be increased as it wasn’t enough to have a bath. Nithushan did his maximum to please us and make our stay better. Best wishes on improving the hotel

A lovely eco boutique hotel on the edge of Mannar. The welcome was lovely and the rooms really well equipped with lots of space. They took great care to match the spice level to our tastes with great service. We particularly wanted to see the flamingos and they led a number of hotel residents at 6am to a great location where we could see the flocks gathering at sunrise. Internet a bit erratic due to height restrictions on towers to protect birdlife. Don't miss walking their boardwalk at sunset to see amazing birdlife

My family and I traveled to Mannar from the 11th to the 14th of January and stayed at the Palmyrah House for three nights. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the rooms were nice and comfortable. As my mother-in-law's birthday was on the first day, we requested a cake, which was provided to us. All in all, it was an excellent stay.

We were a group of 14 who visited PH in Feb for 4 days. Had a fantastic time! The rooms were large and comfy, we stayed in the Flamingo and bee eater suites which had a large connecting balcony and spent all our evenings there. Limited food options but very tasty and the staff were very obliging to make changes to accommodate us. The overall ambiance and scenery in the hotel are very nice. There was a lovely walking path inside the hotel for us to bird watch and they provided bicycles as well. We all had a very relaxing and peaceful time and will definitely visit again!

Best place to stay in Mannar! Ambience of this hotel is really nice. Delicious foods. Manthai rice and curd pudding was my favorite. There were many places to visit like Wind farms, adams bridge, Thaleimannar light house, Thaleimannar peir, keeri beach etc. Overall experience was exceptional!
