The room was lovely with lots of extras. Meals at the hotel were awesome. Only thing missing was hot water for showers! Beautiful surroundings. Lovely weather. Locals friendly. Well stocked grocery store. Very relaxing and walking friendly.

In winter in Victoria you'd think that you could expect a hotel to have windows that shut properly, and doors that don't have large gaps under them. I slept with 4 blankets, and the "heater" on and was still freezing. The Wifi they say they have doesn't reach the room and is only available in the bar/restaurant, which shut at 8pm, so I couldn't do any work after that time. This was ROOM 1, apparently a new "add on" that wasn't even noted on their map.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Mallacoota Hotel. Basic rooms, that were clean and comfortable and roomy. Check in and overall service was top quality and friendly. Breakfast was self catered using the Hotel's breakfast packs. The pub dinner on Friday night was exceptional.

Great pub, friendly staff, tasty food! Lovely dining room area, Awesome outdoor sitting area & front public bar with wide open windows. Bottle shop-reasonable prise. Not sure what the hotel is like as we stayed elsewhere however there is a big pool in full sun.

It's a quaint hotel and we were warned of loud music that night. We were however not warned of no hot water which was disappointing. Reading other reviews the following morning, it mentioned no hot water when the kitchen is operating between 5 and 9. Sure enough, hot water next morning. If only the hotel had said that.

We stayed here in the December holidays and could not sleep because the dj at the motel was insanely loud. It’s holidays, you expect noise but not at this level for so many hours. It played from around 8 until after midnight and was like rave music with bass shaking the room. I could see the dj and dancing from our verandah it was that close. We put headphones with white noise on and could not drown it out. We left with headaches and no sleep. Would never stay here again. There was no warning before we booked or in the confirmation email.

The room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and pleasant and we had a good meal in the bistro which has a very extensive menu and was very reasonably priced. However the rooms are in need of some serious updating. The shower was very difficult to temperature control and had a shower curtain that clings to you as you try to shower. The walls of the room are paper thin. We were woken at 7am by workmen working on the room next door. We could hear every word of a telephone conversation being held as if he was standing next to us. Avoid Room 2!!! It is very reasonable priced accommodation but rather small and in this day and age a decent shower is surely a minimum expectation? The outside area was rather unkempt, the swimming pool needed a good clean and some comfortable outside furniture would at least encourage more use of that space.

Didn't stay , but the lady behind the bar was very good. Then Came the manager/ publican he was more interested to talk to the locals than to serve behind the Bar .Review only very good B4 the latter experience

We ate at the pub both nights that we were in Mallacoota. We were very impressed. Very generous meal size and offered a container to take home the remaining lamb shank, without even having to ask for it. It was just as delicious for lunch the next day. My husband left his jacket there and we realised a few days after we were home. I rang the pub and yes the jacket was there. I spoke to Wendy, who was a great help. She posted the jacket to us and it arrived yesterday. We are really grateful.
